Carmela was so lovely and friendly straight away. The most warming hotel owner I have came across (giving me a great big cuddle) and she catered to all my needs, printing off boarding tickets, storing my luggage etc. She even packed me a breakfast to take to the airport. Extremely helpful staff (Carmela) who gave us enormously valuable information about Santiago and also its whereabouts (we continued to Cabo Fisterra, and she gave hints and tips about places to visit on the way). The room was large and very comfortable, and the location was excellent, just within a walking distance from the old town. Also a parking garage is available.

The room is nicely designed, with beautiful double-panelled windows, interesting royal sun design on ceiling, carbed stone wall in bathroom. Bird on ledge next to bathroom was a great touch! Bathroom has a warm, aesthetic feel. Overlooks main entry way for pilgrims on Camino de Santiago. Decent breakfast offered. Friendly staff--speak Spanish and French, some English.

Location was excellent. I stayed for three nights, I was in room 1, which was above the reception and kitchen area, very loud in the morning, banging doors etc... I asked to change rooms which they they did, They moved me to the top room on the 3rd floor, no problem. -

The Hospederia was an old Hospital for Pilgrams and a monastery. It has been fixed up with rooms. The staff were helpful. The rooms clean as well as the bathhrooms. The breakfasts were routine buffet style and more than adequate.
I had one meal ( lunch) in the dining room. They serve a Menu del Dia. Once again budget friendly , not a gourmet meal

I liked everything! It's right beside the Cathedral. The building itself is beautiful, the rooms are basic but very clean. Breakfast was lovely, all staff were very helpful. The city is Santiago is beautiful, it's definitely a place I will go back to and would recommend it to everyone. There's such a good atmosphere there, everyone is relaxed and friendly.

The Hostel was easy to find and in a great location close to all the restuarants and bars, and a short walk to the Cathedral.The room, though small, was very clean and new and had everything needed. Strong wifi....a/c, comfortable bed and great shower. I would definitely stay there again.

It was excellent in all ways *
it was clean, nicely designed , bright, warm, open and friendly , just around the corner from the cathedral, but with ready access to taxis too. the staff , Diego and the young woman (whose name I didn't get) were exceptionally friendly and helpful ~~ in short a delightful place !!

Spacious, all the mod cons, 2 huge bathrooms, very central but yet felt like a retreat as it was just outside the old town. Owner was really helpful. Private parking was a bonus in their underground car park and the key system worked really well. We would happily have stayed longer.
