  Receptionist were so nice and helpful. Also it was safe at the hotel, since La Rambla is not so safe at night the hotel locked their doors. Also loved the central location.   The staff are extremely friendly, always smiling and willing to help, the rooms were cleaned every day, they made us feel very welcome and clearly made an effort for us to be comfortable.   The hotel had a lot of charm. It was clean (clean towels daily and beds changed during a 5 night stay), a great shower with plenty of very hot water, comfy beds and heating! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although quite basic the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. The position of the hotel just off La Rambla was superb.   Right in the middle of the Gothic district, we walked to most of the great sights in Barcelona! The room was very basic (clean, very firm bed and a clean bathroom with a great shower!) It is also close to subway Drassanes and busses to the beach (59, 64). a typical spanish building, with too small staircases, tiled floor and french balconys.
