The pensione is central, quiet, clean and comfortable. The air con was a pleasant respite from 39 degree temp outside for a mid afternoon siesta. The hosts were friendly and pleasant although we were new to Spain and they had little English we didn't converse much. Entry was by ringing the doorbell which was good for security but made us feel awkward when we thought they might be resting. We stayed 1 night in Pension el Portillo and the room was perfect for that time. It is a rather small family-run business in a very good location (around 5 mins walk from La Mosquita and Alcazar), clean and comfortable, with a lovely owner. I would not choose it for longer stay (3-4 days) but it was perfect for 1 night.
所有评语 » on the contrary to other opinons hotel was really easy to find. A few minutes before arrival your navigation will send you into a street where road signs tell you it is prohibited. But it is allowed for hotel guests. Hotel owns two parking places along the street around the corner. Very friendly staff, clean place. Location is very nice in terms of visiting historical monuments, buying food and eating out. Price is good. Wi-Fi is accessible in the room. The bus from the train station stops in ~20 meters from the hotel. Lovely old building in the centre of the historical Jewish quarter. Quiet but right near everything! Mesquita only a 5 minute walk. Free wifi and lovely hot shower. The hotel is in a central location a short walk from the historic centre. It was very comfortable, clean and secure and the staff were helpful. Very well situated in central old town area, yet quiet. Just a few minutes walk to Mezquita etc. Helpful friendly staff, quiet rooms. the staff is friendly and helpfull, the hotel is unique and cute. the location is perfect because it closes to tourist attraction. Friendly and helpful host. Very clean room, close to most attractions. We got to store our bags after checking out too. Staff were fantastic and rates were very reasonable also location was beautiful and the reception patio was special. Good location, very clean. The Pension is in a good location - not too far away from the Mezquita and lots of places to eat and drinnk nearby. The old building is lovely and has an attractive courtyard for its reception area. The owners have a lovely little dog who sometimes comes to greet you when you come in. The room was basic but totally fine for what we needed. It had wifi in the room. Pension Portillo is located on the edge of the old city within a few minutes' walk from all the main attractions and restaurants and shops. Our room (a triple) was somewhat dated and lacking in charm but spotlessly clean throughout. All in all, great value for money and an ideal base to spend a few days discovering Cordoba. The owners are very friendly and helpful, though not too much in your face. The Pension is in a good location .Bus stop from 1minute. not too far away from the Mezquita. As was mentioned in my room description, there was no air conditioner; however fan really helps, especially if you are not going to stay all day in the hotel during hottest days of summer. I would have preferred to have a key to the outside door of the building rather than having to ring the bell. Although the owner was very accommodating and said he would let us in regardless of the time, I felt a bit guilty returning after 11pm. No faults. everything is fine :). N/a. If you are traveling by car make sure you get early to get one of the 2 parking places they have!. Voices echo throughout central court yard. Nothing. Nothing. there is possibility to park the car free in a few streets not that far away, it's a pity the host doesn't seem to be aware about that. Room was quite small. Room a little tight. Although family run, the common parts need to be kept tidy and uncluttered - and it is not endearing to have to step over children in their pyjamas playing in the entrance hall!. It's very basic, but everything is clean and in working order. It was a noisy at times because some children were running around the halls outside of the room. Patio allways use family.
