Loved everything.staff and host most welcoming and helpful room was amazing filled with lovely items to gasp at loved the pen and guestbook.amazing bathroom with candles.loads of TV chanels.massive bed.fantastic broadcast hot and cold even got ostriche fillet with b/fast.everything is secured with big electric gate.little swimming pool Braai area and tree houses to stay in.beds hotel we have been in even better than Vegas hotel.
所有评语 » The massive fireplace inside the living room just adds a lot to atmosphere. We even had a braai (barbecue) sitting in the fireplace. The hosts did everything to make our stay perfect (including braai lessons). The whole decoration is self made with love for detail. Perfect place for bird lovers. The Riverside's terrace must have the best view in Oudtshoorn for sitting out having sundowners overlooking the river, the fields and the mountains in the distance. You really feel you are in Africa. Also the location is great - it is within walking distance of several restaurants /bars. We all loved this accommodation. It was quirky, comfortable and really well located. The attention to detail was fabulous and we had a really delicious breakfast to start the day. Sadly, we only stayed for one night but would have loved a few more. Thank you. WE loved the way we were welcomed bij Christo. He made us feel very welcome. He even made us a great fire in the gigantic fire place. we stayed in a very cosy cottage.Although it's cold in the winter we loved it. Nicely situated near a river close to the main street. Nice and original decoration. Large sundeck with bar facilities. Walking distance to restaurants. Good breakfast. Friendly reception. Parking facilities. Two words......Simply fabulous! The stunning decor, luxurious linen and all the special touches were far and beyond what one would expect for the very reasonable price. And the breakfast was to die for. We had a very friendly welcome and were recommended restaurants and activities that suited us. The deck area is perfect to unwind after a long journey and the honesty bar is well stocked!. Excellent hosts- very helpful, accomodating ,friendly. The owner washed my car the following morning before I left. That's what I call service with a smile. Very well done. The terrace and it's view are amazing, the look is authentic, the owners very friendly and helpful and you won't miss the breakfasts. A very nice, small authentic lodge. Very friendly owners, they made a fire for us at night in our treehouse. Great room, with a " sit-in" fireplace ;-) Quiet and central location, very recommendable!!. Room was old style yet charming. Unusual and quirky place to stay in oudtshoorn. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only the weather not warm enough to enjoy sitting outside this amazing place. The living room was a little dim lighted. The lodge is next to a street with a steep hill so cars passing by can be a bit loud though there are not many. Nothing. I don't have any complaints, our whole stay was wonderful!. Only a short stay, so I could not find any faults at all. All was OK. I would recommend this address to my friends and family. The 'pool' could have been larger and the bar better stocked. Nothing. If I was being a bit picky the room was a tad cluttered but I put this down to over-enthusiasm of the very friendly hosts who clearly put a lot into running the place. none. Electrical wiring and windows giving on wall at one meter. Room always dark due to windows. Not really riverside; more like creekside and is really in "town" and not countryside. Restless night sleep due to noisy parties passing by throughout the night and I am a deep sleeper. Over priced for offering, bathroom was slighly irritating (shower space and basin), and on arrival we were told of honesty bar, but when we returned at 20:00, it was locked. The decking/balcony area where we relaxed in the pm and had breakfast in am was in need of some attention.
