The hotel is located opposite nelson mandela sqaure (michangelo towers) and therefore you have a lot of eating option and shopping options in the mall.breakfast at the hotel is a good spread so nothing to complain about. The area sandton is very safe and is a good part of the city. I was there for the automechanika held at johannesburg expo center, nasrec which is about 28 kms away and takes around 35 mins by taxi (300 za rands). Overall the hotel is good and it was a very pleasent stay.
所有评语 » The rooms were very comfortable and well sized. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is perfect, right opposite the Sandton City Mall/Nelson Mandela Square and less than five minutes walk from the Gautrain Station. Very nice hotel. Will definitely come back and highly recommended. It is located centrally with access to major roads in all directions; proximity to a large shopping mall with lots of restaurents. It is an ideal location for a business traveller as well as being an up market but budget friendly choice for a leisure traveller. Excellent location, easy train access from airport, right next to Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City mall for shopping/eating, safe area to walk in. Rooms quiet and comfortable with good wifi reception. Very good breakfast buffet choice, hotel bar good. Location, location, location. Right across the street from the Michelangelo Mall, so super easy access to shopping and restaurants. It is also very close to the terminal for the Gautrain with easy connection to Tambo International Airport. Great value for money. Friendly efficient staff. Clean, modern and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Across the road from Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton city for great shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again. Good position: close to SANDTON CONVENTION CENTER, close to MANDELA SQUARE (big shopping mall with good restaurants and shops). Good restaurant open 24/24h (best dishes is Kingklip, snails and sushi). Very good wine selection. Ideally situated for the Sandton Convention Centre (next door) and the Sandton Shopping mall (opposite). Room was functional and big enough for a few days' stay. Room service meal was pleasant and cheap. Perfect location for shopping and dinning, Mandela Square and Sandton City just across the street; wonderful to rest, very silent and comfortable; very tasty and varied food; Professional and nice staff. Comfortable and clean, very good breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Very close to Gautrain and LOTS of shopping in three major mega-malls. Fitness center a plus. Restaurant has great burgers!. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Centrally located for trade show. Convenient to get to from airport. Across road from a huge shopping mall with lots of eateries. Location of the hotel, next to Mandela square and a walkable distance to the Train station. Game Store is just right at the basement/ hotel packing. Breakfast was superb. The service was outstanding. The staff is very polite and always ready to help. The room and the breakfast area were very clean. Wide variety of food for breakfast. Loved the location being close to shopping and many great restaurants. Easy access to where I needed to go to compete my business. Free breakfast buffet was great. It's in the middle of Sandton so you don't need a car. You can literally walk into the shopping center from the hotel. Even at 04:00 I enjoyed a complimentary cup of coffee from a member of staff whilst having a smoke at the pool area. Proximity to Gauteng Train Station and free shuttle. Shower. Nothing I can think of really. The fact that the lift from the parking lot takes out of the hotel buiding and exposes one to bad weather and is not safety friendly. There is an observation that porters conive with Taxi operators to charge exorbitent rates to unsuspecting foreiners. The coinceige should handle this instead of those porters outside. Free wifi was unusable - way too slow so no option but to purchase a paid connection which of course worked fine so a deliberate ploy to make you pay. Would have appreciated a bottle of water in the room (as with most Tsogo Sun hotels) and a fridge too. We were in a newly renovated room, which was great, but the construction was ongoing with hammering, etc. from 8am-5pm. Also, the first room did not have curtains that closed and reception did not take our complaint seriously when we called down. Eventually a housekeeper came to the room and our room was changed. In the second room (also newly renovated) the cable TV connection was very poor. It seems there was a lack of quality-control on the reno. Bathroom smelled musty. Wardrobe smelled sweaty. Neither smell bad enough to make me complain, I suppose. Key cards stopped working (this happened regularly to other colleagues staying there too). Nothing not to like. Maps at the concierge would have been nice, and more room information. Room is too dark and no drawers for smalls. Shower needs to be clean as it is not effective. Housekeeping should be more vigilant with replenishing soap, shampoo, etc. Often left my 1/4 filled tubes with no replacement or top up. Needed more food options in the hotel restaurant. Internet connections are very poor at the cpmputer lobby:(((. Your dinner service was terrible. Also a deaf and dumb beggar was let in the foyer to ask guests for money at the lifts, on both days that I was there, rather unsettling. No slippers in the room. Atleast a small bar fridge could be made available in the room . No negatives from my side. Public areas were overheated. - Aircon/heating rather noisy - Only single-glazed windows, street noise quite disturbing even with the closed window. Ask for a backyard facing room - Very slow check-in procedure - Internet connection extremely sluggish and almost useless for anything more then just reading news. Forget about donwloading larger email content. You couldn't have your breakfast in your room. The restaurant/ bar was closed because of refurbishment. Nothing. The room and bed are relatively small. Should include Internet access into room rate or offer it as a benefit to your guests. Restaurant could have more options. The rooms I requested were not ready when I checked in. I booked 2 double rooms, but we ended staying in 2 single rooms which only had showers, while the other room and bathroom was for paraplegia. bathing was not an easy business especially when one is travelling with kids. qíng to use 1 shower for a family of 4 and still paying the same rate as for double rooms with both tub ans shower was not okay. No mini-bar inside the room. No complimentary water, only tea. No toothbrush, toothpaste and other bathroom amenities. No mini bar. WiFi is very poor and limited. My room was quite noisy. more facilities are needed like massage ans spur free WIFI to residents. The fact that I had to sleep one night due to the nature of my business. Lunch menu and service was somewhat suspect. Smoking-room smell. Wi-Fi, Internet charges. No refrigerator in the room, lack of dining facilities.
