It was such a pleasant surprise to see the new management and staff, all very friendly, helpful, full of fire and go. The food was very good, the rooms clean, atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The hotel room was comfortable & clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. It is within close proximity to the game reserve. Like the environment it was warm,friendly and welcoming from the reception staff members to the cleaners.

Rooms were neat and comfortable. Food was excellent. I loved the rooms. They were very comfortable. Location. I felt the cost of the carveries were too expensive, for both the breakfast & dinner. I bought food from home for breakfasts & had fast food take-aways for dinner, in order to reduce expenses. The menu can do with some more variety and for staff to ensure that there is food there at all times and we don't have to ask for the food to be refilled and wait in line. Very loud cleaners early in the morning. Crockery not properly clean in. poor knowledge of staff about activities available. staff did not advise us about picnic site on game drive. did not advise us on the options of taking along a picnic basket disappointing as we had kids with us. Toilet was a problem. No always hot water available. Limited facilities. No games room with pool table. The food was average, I did expect better. The staff were unhelpful and the barman was either intoxicated or just stupid. We had to remind him of what drinks we had before paying for them and he was very clumsy and broke a few glasses and spilt a drink on one of the visitors. We were not ushered to our rooms but were told how to get to the back of the hotel parking lot and once there to go up the stairs. Very unprofessional. My booking was not on their system on arrival and I was lucky to get a room. 135 R for breakfast is ridiculous and 165 R for dinner is overpriced too. They clearly cater for oversees tour groups and not South African customers. I was in the dark for some 15 min and no emergency lights, let alone a candle was in the room. Curtains hanging off, light bulbs not replaced, no hot water, using cold coloured light bulbs instead of warm, hair dryer hardly reached the position of the mirror. We had drive into town for meals. They couldn't accomadate our kids preference and our religious beliefs, we are vegetarians . On that specific day they had a set ethnic menu of pot kelps and regular menu was not effective.
