I liked the fact that the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was most enjoyable with good staff. The manager Hayley sorted out my room problem. I changed rooms 3 times. If my request was not available at time of booking I would have liked to be told that and I would have booked elsewhere. Instead I arrived and found that I could not have what I wanted hence the change in rooms. I don't normally complain but I did book 2 months in advance & I would have like a call to say that they coul.

The mod hotel together with it's location and beautiful sea and mountain views and sunsets, the bar and restaurants with their efficient and friendly staff, safe undercover parking, close proximity to Cape Town's CBD. waterfront and Century City, and the luxurious Junior suite we chose for our three night stay. We were sorry to leave. A BIG THANK YOU to all for making our stay at Lagoon Beach Hotel a pleasant and memorable experience. Also a BIG thanks to Booking .com for the hassle free bookin. food was good especially the breakfast which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful . location wax excellent . Room was really lovely with great sea view. Free shuttle bus service to the Waterfront was marvellous. I would rate it at 8.8. The staff were excellent and the rooms clean and well equiped. The food in the restaurant was very well prepared and good value. This hotel has easy access to the beach and to Cape Town city centre. Very good underground parking. Great location-beautiful and quiet place. Some comfortable rooms with huge windows provide great view of the Table Mountain. Friendly personnel. Area easy to get from the city and the airport but you need a car. Good breakfast,. The excellent manner in which the staff, in particular the on duty manager Haylie. There was a slight issue on my arrival but her courtesy and efficiency went beyond service excellence and made my stay even more pleasurable. Sunsets were fantastic staff and everything about the hotel was just fantastic and we are planning to go back next year for a longer stay. One very minor improvement could do with a sun lounger on the patio and a small table. Lagoon Beach Hotel is an experience that you should not miss. The accommodation is perfect and is nearby all main attractions. I will definately go there again as I have already been there twice. The Spa is also great. The friendly staff and the food and cocktails was awesome. The staff at reception assisted us in organising wine tasting trips and even assisted us in getting accomadtion booked for our trip back to Namibia. I stayed there before and loved the setting. The previous time we had a sea view this time we were on the main road and had zero sleep because of the main road that had lots of trafficin front of our room. The great location and the view of the sea from the beach bar. Also it was wonderful to have the free shuttle bus to the Waterfront. It had a great holiday atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. I liked the laid back and simplicity in set up of the hotel. The staff were very warm, amiable and helpful. The views of the atlantic and the serene environment makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. Everything. Location, beautiful sea-view from pool and bar, spacious, clean, nice restaurants on site, comfortable, friendly staff. I found my spot after years of searching in Cape Town!. I liked almost everything while staying in the hotel.Comfortable, clean, always ready to help the visitors. If ever I go back to Cape Town, I shall stay in Lagoon Beach only. We were upgraded from Deluxe sea facing room to a Junior suite due to the hotel renovating . Views are amazing of Table Mountain and Robben Island. The bedroom was spacious and well decorated. The hotel location is excellent, friendly staff & all major facilities are available. It is truly a value for money hotel. It was the first time in the Milnerton area. Loved it so much. Love the fact that its close to the malls and the city centre. The easy access to the beach. Our room was facing a beautiful beach. We had romantic sunsets and sun rises on the balcony. Excellent location for beach lovers, superb view over the Table Mountain and Waterfront, free shuttle bus to Waterfront. Great venue and location. Magnificent views of Table Mountain and bay from public areas and some rooms. The close proximity to the beach and the waterfront areas . the view is great and is in a quiet area. The fact that all the sea facing rooms cater only for double bedded rooms. I was with my sister and we wanted twins beds with sea view with balcony as I smoke. There was nothing I did not like. nothing major but the tiles in the bathroom looked a bit worn . We were put in a ground floor room overlooking the courtyard/garden. Unfortunately a 13th birthday party was taking place one evening and the children were allowed to run around the corridors making a lot of noise. Thankfully it finished at 11.30pm but we did hear noise from the 'tidyup' after they had gone home. Reception organization during check-in. Balcony needs a small table. We booked a room that stated Mountain facing view. We did not receive a mountain facing view room. Although, the room we stayed in was clean and more than we had expected - one of the reasons why didn't complain and for the money we paid, we did thought that it was good value for money. A mountain facing room would've been awesome though. I am from pretoria and told my hisband about the stunning venue. I also asked for a beach view. We were on a main road in room 346, it was noisy and what was suppose to me a romantic evening for two with a amazing view of the sea was a terrible small room with lots of traffic. Will not go back. The bathroom could need a little modernisation. transport from the hotel to the malls and V&A could be improved. Nothing. Having booked 5 months in advance, I got a call 2 days before flying out to Cape Town to say the room I booked (full sea facing) was not available due to renovation works.This must have been planned works and more notice should have been given. The cleaner came in one day and didnt shut the bedroom door properly so room was open all day . The Taxi firm in reception are pretty useless they forgot our booking twice . Room sevice menu could be better . The reception on the TV was poor, the airconditioning unit, when placed on full made a loud grinding noise and I had requested a sleeper for my 5 year old son and provided with just a plain mattress on the floor despite me having checked and confirmed my request with the reservations department a week before. i can honestly say there was no fualt at all!. Small things in the rooms should be fixed - telephones, wind noise in windows, bath / shower levers. Wifi free, but only for 200 mb per day (not clear in the booking!). If exceeded the cost is 5 Eu per hour. Heat/Air conditioning system didn't work well. Minimal breakfast. There are only 3 shuttle buses per day to Waterfront and back. Distance to Waterfront: you have to use the taxi every time you want to go in city center and you cannot use the shuttle bus. Service standards could be improved and maintained. Staff not helpful and all areas not clean or cleaned on time. My room was not serviced properly and our gowns were taken away and never replaced . The fact that I had to go back home. Well there is not much I didn't like, the only thing was the bed was very hard and I woke up on Saturday morning with back pain. Not a thing we did not like. Wireless internet was a bit sketchy in the evenings and could only get it in the main lobby. Not a deal breaker though. As ground floor would have liked a more secure window to leave slightly open in the evening. Difficulties with booking shuttle into Cape Town and shuttle service was limited Not being told in advance that the restaurant was not available due to a large conference function Paying for a double room instead of a single supplement, when a single was booked Wi if didn't always work. The on-site gym equipment is a little dated and may need to be replaced with more modern equipment and at least a treadmill. The smell of the sea in the mornings , something I will have to get use to in the Cape best renoune for its fish ofcourse :). Some staff (only two in my case) were not friendly enough. Service extremely slow due to a shortage of staff. The standard of housekeeping was not the same everyday. Service at breakfast was very slow and not intuitive. We were there for 9 days and every morning it was a mission to get coffee, and they rarely came to ask if you wanted a second cup. Woke me up on two occasions in the morning. I couldn't figure out how to let the water out of the bathroom sink, maybe that should be made more obvious. Poor room services. Needs a foot wash facility to remove sand when coming off the beach, before coming in to the hotel, or putting shoes on again. Beach just outside hotel wasn't very clean. Litter all over. Very slow internet. Wind noise at night.
