  We stayed 2 nights in the Imperial Village Hotel and our impressions were excellent. Very clean room, comfortable, big bed. Staff was very friendly, although with shortages in English. Excellent restaurant, great russian food with a western touch. Nicest waiting personnel. - All is excellent, but staff is poor

  Superb location - just 100 meters across the square to the Lavra. Basic but clean room and friendly staff. Traditional Russian cuisine in "Gostevaya Izba" restaurant and quite interesting experience to share the meals with in Monastery's dining hall on-site - If you are coming to see the monastery, this is the place to stay.
