Old building oozing history in the heart of Brasov. Staff have great knowledge of local area and there is no need to go elsewhere to find out about tours, trips, walks, renting cars etc. Overall great value for money.
The hotel is a real art nouveau beauty, and the location is excelent. Some rooms are more spacious than others, but they are very comfortable. The breakfast is also very good. There are 8 options to choose from.

Just about everything, the breakfast was good but not ready at 7am, the staff were obliging, the room was HUGE and had a bathroom to match. Very clean.

This is not 5 star luxury and it does not claim to be so.
Wifi is only available at the lobby, not in the rooms. You have to wait a few minutes for the water to get hot when using the shower.
That wifi was only available in the noisy lobby/smoking area. When you are a very long way from your family you do need to keep in touch. The smoking was appalling. It should not be too difficult to set up a separate room for wifi use, strictly non smoking. Or how about setting up wifi throughout the hotel. I'd score you a 10 if you did.

The beds were very, very hard. We were on the street and the night noise was endless. Wifi only in the lobby.
One night was more than enough. The rooms were big, but that didn't matter when they were old and dirty. The rooms need major upgrades. The bathroom was disgusting -- no shower curtain, had to hold the shower faucet while showering, toilet gross, took too long for hot water. We would not stay here again as this was the worst hotel of our trip to Romania.
