We stayed at the Waksman just for two nights in April, in very cold, snowy weather. The location is super - right in the old town of Lublin, next to the gate that led out to the castle, and a minute's walk to the old Rynek with plenty of bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and had 24-hour reception, although there were only a few rooms. The small breakfast room was pleasant, and there was a small lounge, too. I'm planning my next trip already!. All is perfect. The building is quiet and so lovely (pre-war atmosphere). Excellent location in downtown close the castle (interesting museum), great breakfast, hotel staff very professional, polite and pleasant. Highly recommended. Patrick. This hotel is so close to The Bars and Resturant, Taxi Queue, High Street Shopping in Old Town Lublin. The breakfast food are good. The room is so beautiful and very clean. Highly recommend this. The hotel is sutuated in the old building in the old part of the city, an entrance is on the main street of the old city. On weekend there are a lot of interesting activities, concerts, etc. The location was suberb, right in the heart of the old city. While rooms were small they were beautifully arranged. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The location of the hotel was exceptional, close to the bus station yet inside the old city walls. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The residence is located in the old town and is clean. For a city break, it is a good option. It is not luxurious but you can feel comfortable. The location is realy nice, right in the center. L'Hotel Waksman is well located. We liked the retro style and cosy, friendly feeling of the place. beautiful décor in the old city allowed us to have easy walking access with a charming atmosphere. We thought the bed was ok, but not great, and one of the pillows had hardly any stuffing in it at all! If we had stayed longer, we would have asked if they had a spare one. Fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but this isn't a complaint - we were pretty impressed with the breakfast on the whole. Only one negative is "Wifi" is rarely working! :( Take my advise to bring your own Travel wireless 3G Wifi with you if you need to buy one! ;). There is no silence on weekend because this is a center. Breakfast is poor. Furniture is old, it looks nice, but not so nice for sleeping. Also it is impossible to drive to the hotel by car because the old city is jyust for pedestrians. Hopefully you can order a park place across the street, but for extra money. Nothing to dislike. A little bit difficult to get there because the residence is located in a pedestrian area. Parking is not very far though... Bathroom facilities need renovation.Shower curtain was broken. we had a little difficulty with the shower--the small size meant we hit either the door or the faucets. The duvet we had didnt fit the bed so on a double bed one had the duvet and the other had to have the blancket - hardly the end of the world though. Bed springs. Temperamental shower. Cold coffee for breakfast. It was a bit cold in the room and in toilet. There were some problems with the shower, couldn't adjust warm/cold water. Small Polish duvets!. Noise! We were right over the street, and cafes and passersby kept us up at night and woke us in the morning. Also the breakfast didn't even offer coffee (which we really needed after so little sleep). There is no air conditioner in room. Nothing.
