The pool is amazing. It is so nice to be able to escape the noise and
the bustle at night and have a beer or a cocktail by this amazing
secluded pool. Especially as a woman it was nice to have a place that

La Source is located in the small village of Hassi Labied, a 15min drive from Merzouga and a short walking distance from the Great Dune of Erg Chebbi. The view is wonderful from their terrace. The auberge is clean and welcoming, brothers Omar and Said treated us as real friends and their sisters cooked the best tagines. We would love to go back to La Source and definitely recommend you to choose them.

We were very well greeted by Ali and his staff. Ali quickly arranged
jeep and dromedary (no camels in Africa) trips for us. The room was
nicely decorated, Maroccan style. We had a wonderful evening meal under
the tent by the pool and all you can eat breakfast. Above all we got
what we came for, to see the desert, visit a different culture and meet
friendly people.

We were met at the taxi stand by the owner's brother and directed to the hotel, despite the fact that we hadn't thought to advise our expected arrival time. We loved our stay here, including the night in the desert they arranged for us. The staff was amazing and the family that owns the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming -- Hassan sat on the terrace with us for half an hour just to chat after we arrived. Good location, right next to sand dunes. Hosts were very accommodating, Mohammed met us at the bus station and helped us with our baggage to hotel, and fed us dinner when we arrived.
We were looking to do sandboarding, the hotel helped arrange us a day trip for a reasonable price exactly as we wanted.
Breakfast on terrace was really nice.
