Just off the main street which makes it an ideal location. The actual road the hotel is based leaves a lot to be desired but it's a very short walk to lots of cafes and eateries.
The room was very clean and comfortable. I think that as it was off season I didn't encounter some of the issues that others have spoken of. -

Getting to the BnB is a bit confusing, as is anything in the entire medina, but we gave 2€ to a man who carried our bags and escorted us to Dar Tarhya. The staff was incredibly friendly and greeted us with Moroccon whiskey, which we unfortunately could not take because of our rush for our tour of fes. Beautiful traditional Moroccan riad. There are open terrace on the roof, which is bit higher than other buildings around, so you can enjoy the view.
All rooms are decorated in individual, original way with different paintings. Some rooms have only a window to internal yard, which is very nice. On the first floor there are rest area with sofas, guide books and other travel materials.
The owner is French and speaks English perfectly. He is very friendly and attentive to the guests.
