  We wanted something central and at a reasonable price. I think we got what we expected. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to the centre of Guadalajara (University Square) and buses run right past the door for us$ 0.50. The metro is three blocks away. We felt it was safe and didn't feel nervous walking about at any time. The whole place is very c - This is the house of a woman and her two daughters, so it feels very cozy and friendly. At the same time, however, there is plenty privacy and I never felt like I was intruding. I received lots of helpful advice and directions from the woman who runs the place; very knowledgeable about (and enamored of) the town and environs.   Great location! Very clean, nice and really good ambience. Food was excellent and very reasonable. Front desk personnel were most helpful and courteous. - I enjoyed everything, but the helpful staff was exceptional. The restaurant in the hotel was the best.
