  Rasa Ria is not a cheap resort but it is a lovely one. The rooms were well thoughtfully designed for the traveler - for once the room lighting was such that you could actually see in the room. The Orang-utan sanctuary was an added bonus. - I have been to many 5 star hotels but this is definitely one of the best for a family vacation. It has two wings - Ocean wing and Garden Wing. Both have a beautiful pool. The garden wing pool has a very nice slide for the kids. There are 3 restaurants which serve really nice food. We wanted to extend by 1 day but there was not a single room available!

  Staff here were excellent in particular the concierge service (special mention to Sylver and Philip for going out of their way to be helpful and friendly). The Le Meridien is a nice, well presented hotel, the rooms are clean / nice and the pool area is fun and very well maintained.   The staff always made sure we had all we needed. The resort's private beach is exquisite and has a snorkeling trail for its clients. They also have a nice trekking path with a nice view of the tropical forest (an employee will take you there complimentarily).
