Staying for two nights in Villa Mesokastro was an excellent experience. We were three of us and had a triple room. We had originally planned to stay only for one night, but since Ohrid was so beautiful, we decided to stay on for another night. The owners were very accommodating to our last minute request and specially set up another triple room for us since the one from the first night was booked for the second night. They were also very welcoming even though our arrival at the hotel was really.
所有评语 » Villa Mesokastro is a really nice place, which I and my partner can highly recommend. We had a wonderful room overseeing the Ohrid bay area, the mountains, and the old town, and many other rooms are built in the same way. The hotel is nicely furbished and maintained clean. There is a beautiful garden with lots of flowers where one can have coffee or tea. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and goes out of their way to accommodate their guests. If one wants to have a hotel with a great value. Super-nice and welcoming place. The owner was very friendly, offered us a little tour around the house and was available for any questions we had. The building looks brand new. Everything was recently renovated with high quality appliances. Our room (double with balcony facing the lake) was just excellent. Very new furniture, amazing views over Ohrid and the lake, flat-screen TV (satellite, including CNN), and a nice little bathroom. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly come here a. The owners were great. We arrived at 3 at night driving from Skopje. They were vaiting for, parking provided as well. The e-emali response was instant. Every question I had before arrival was exact and valuable. Home atmosphere, good communcication. The rooms are small and clean, perfect for someone who wants to explore historical sites near by. Location is great. Warm recommendation. Perfect location, beautiful view of the lake, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, clean rooms...Highly recommendable for all those wishing to visit numerous ancient churches and historical places on foot or to stroll up and down the narrow streets of Ohrid ending up in a nearby lakeside cafe or restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer....ZA Svaku preporuku!!!. Liked the location - in the old town, but on a hill above the main street, so it is not noisy during night. Clean room. Nikola was also super helpful & very nice. We had emailed him some questions related to the transportation prior to our stay and he answered them very promptly and in good detail. Villa Mesokastro is fabulous villa, located in the old part of Ohrid.The view from the balcony is marvellous,looking right over the lake and the main square. Very helpful and friendly staff! If you are not experienced driver do not drive, take a cab. It has nothing to do with the owners. The streets are small TWO WAY, crowded with all sorts of vehicles with cars parked everywhere. Taxi is cheap, 1 eur from center to the villa. - Cleaning of the room can be done more thoroughly (especially under the beds) and more frequently, not only on demand; - The city tax seems to be per night, although on the site it says is per stay, which might lead to some complications when payment needs to be done - please solve this aspect as soon as possible!. There might be slightly difficult to find the place for the first time because the street name plates are not so frequent in Macedonia , I jumped however at the bus station into a taxi , which drove me directly to the accomodation. No airconditioning in my room, however, balconydoors were easy to open for fresh air. Everything was good. As it is close to the town the night I stayed was a little noisy with music. I had to leave the balcony door open as it was a warm night. But it has a great view and close to town so this is to be expected. No breakfast included. initially it is a little bit difficult to find the hotel. be careful in the shower and with the faucet, its easy to chose too hot water. Room was a bit noisy and Wifi signal very weak. difficulty in finding the hotel. Nothing. No heating , Cold room. Hotel based up very step hills which included steps, not stated on site my husband has arthritis in knees so totally unsuitable had to leave after 2 nights due to this.
