Small details that added to the experience, each night when the staff had laid out the futon there would be a folded origami (new one every day!) beside the pillow together with a small text saying something along the lines of "We hope you had a great day". The staff who served the dinner on the room was helpful and took their time explaining what the food was and how it was to - Wow! Staying at Nissho Besso was one of the best hotel experiences ever!! This top-end traditional Japanese ryokan dishes out luxury and service like you could never imagine. From the origami and personalised notes on my mattress in the evenings, to the amazing breakfasts (different every morning) and stunning service levels ....always provided with a smile. This great property will be a key reason for returning to Kyoto as soon as possible.
