The location is splendid and I loved the atmosphere of the hotel - on the third floor above artists sudios - it felt like living in "real" Venice as opposed to a tourist showcase. Also a very good buffet breakfast in a most attractive room with adjoining terrace overlooking the rooftops of the city.. It is a 6th century palace that was amazing. Centrally located, friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable room, the staff was helpful in guiding us around the city, it made our whole trip wonderful. I would love to stay there again!. 所有 评语 »
Stayed with 2 children, and we enjoyed it immensely. Nicely decorated room, comfortable bed on a quiet street. We felt safe and secure. An excellent value with fantastic location. The location could not have been any better and the rooms were nice sized by European standards. Great staff, clean and comfortable room, and a very good breakfast. The staff was thoroughly professional and helpful. One employee recommended an excellent restaurant for us. love this hotel - great location - old world charm - very nice staff. Very friendly and made to feel welcome. We will stay there again. comfortable, friendly staff, ideal position. it was absolutely as advertised. The location and the staff. lovely room, very close to st marks square. authentic italian feel to hotel. very security conscious, felt safe. roof top seating area was wonderful. Its proximity to the piazza and all attractions and the excellentservice of the staff. The hotel was a wonderfully warm, welcoming place. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They took an interest in how we were enjoying Venice and checked that we were being treated ok at the local restaurants. They recommended good areas to eat and overall gave 100% service. The location was fantastic, just a couple of blocks from Piazza San Marco. The rooms were well done, despite the fact that the building dated back to the 16th centur. Easily the best value we found over two weks in Europe.Very friendly staff! Great location and it feels more like home than a hotel. Location in centre of Venice. Great room. Very clean. Nice breakfast.Central location but peaceful. This hotel was excellent value. We knew we had some stairs to climb, but one of the staff helped with the bags as we arrived. The wireless internet didnt work and was expensive but they refunded the charge when I told them about the problem. The room was small but very nice decor. The whole hotel whispered romance to us, it is an old historical hotel in a great location and easy to find. Loved it. Its central position, easy to reach from water bus, however the directions could have been clearer for a first timer in Venice. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff!. Near San Marco, Friendly and Quiet. Close to Main areas. Centrally located. Initial shock on entry, but lovely once inside. Rooftop garden an enormous bonus. I would definitely recommend it. Easy to find, excellent position for touring the area. staff helpful and friendly, nice atmosphere.Location, location, location. Just a hop, skip and jump from San Marco. proxinity to main area of interest and access to vaporetta. Clooseness to to city centre. Location. Nice room.sight see. Location. Apart from the first day and night when it was impossible to be inthe room due to the air conditioning not working the hotel waspleasant enough. excellent location, with everything you need for a short break. Location near the railway station. location but very hard to find. very central.ideal location. Location and interior. Particularly, it's close proximity to St Marks' Square and the very clean bathroom. Friendliness of staff, simple breakfast on the roof. The Location. Staff were helpful, breakfast OK. The staff move us to an apartment far away from the hotel. The room was excellent and quiet (there was nobody but us in the building) but we did not have the normal room services. Apart from that it was an excellent choice. I loved the location. It was just behind Saint Mark's Square, but on a fairly quiet alleyway. The location of the hotel - the quiet nature depsite being very central. I was near the tourist area.Great location. No - I loved it. Can't wait to go back!. No lift and they are at the top!. rooftop area not large enough to accommodate all the guests for breakfast. early breakfast not available for guests leaving early for flights home. The air conditioning that was not working properly. I didn't have a problem but older travelers need to know that the rooms are on the third floor with no elevator. The 4-bed room is nice and cosy but the second double bed really is for kids only. Still love the hotel and staff, just as a warning to adults who want to share the room. According to the hotel, air conditioning is not allowed to be used in Venice until the summer ("it's the law in Venice"). This should have been made apparent when booking (if it's true) as we paid for an air conditioned room and yet, it was not possible to use it.bar prices very expensive. All the stairs although in fairness this was clearly pointed out to us beforehand we were not however expecting to be in a different building. Not very welcoming entrance and up a lot of stairs. you fail to tell me that you charged my credit card when booking was made?. no lift for suitcases. Our room was lovely but there was damp on the wall which made the room a bit smelly or it could have been the toilet? There was a lot of stairs to reach the hotel but we are young and fit, for the older clientele it may be a bit tiring!. Four flights of stairs to reach the room. The bathroom was reserved for us but not en suite - had to walk down a corridor with a frequently open door to the breakfast room. on the third floor and no lift. Did not bother me, but the bathroom is down the hallway. There is also a lot of stairs (no lift), so not good for older people.lots of stairs. When we arrived we were alocated a very very small room that would be small even as a single. The staff however moved us next day and we were very happy.would have been nice to have had breakfeast before 8 am. WC and shower is not in the room. Room rather shabby and not very large for a double - but the shower room en suite was excellent. We were in an annexe so not good but the hotel itself was fine. Stairs and freaky entrance, shared bathrooms, aircon. failed in the night. Issue with emergency chord. Also 4 fours up and no elevator. We booked a quad room to find out on arrival it was a double bedroom with two roll out single beds with no room to move....very unsatisfactory...did approach hotel owner and felt we had been mislead by the website no discount was given.....some compensation should have been sought..... It was rated as a 3 star, I believe, but it was more equivalent to a 1-2 star. The fact that we were not in the main building - but actually given the good weather there was no real problem in being in a different street - it was very quiet and the walk round to breakfast was fine. The room was poorly maintained with rotting door and stained wallpaper.Very smelly plumbing problem in bathroom.
