Lake Garda is beautiful, with all the old small Italian towns and cities on the shore it is amazing. Toscolano Maderno is in the center of the lake in terms of location, you can go anywhere with the regular Boat service on the lake. For cycling I recommend the east and south side of the lake, the west side is full of tunnels which is not so nice at all. The hotel is acceptable choice in case of the weather is good and you are not linked to it, but in case you need to spend there daytime as well.
所有评语 » This hotel had a real homely feel. It was a lot older than the other hotels on our trip but this was nice as it had lots of character and charm which was enhanced by the hilarious manager. The breakfast was a little limited although nice. What made this hotel really special was its location to the Lake and nearby Maderno. Also the music night that the manager laid on for the guests was fab. We took the ferry from Maderno across to Torri del Benaco priced at 13Euros per adult return. A great bas. The decor is beautiful, full of interesting objects and furniture. The staff were really friendly and the owner very helpful and knowledgable about the locality and its history. Toscolano is a quieter area of the lake but full of Italian charm. It is within walking distance of Maderno and easy access to the rest of lake Garda. It was lovely to come back from the busier parts to hotel Adria, a home from home. love people working there very friendly and beautiful hotel.. just more than 3 stars.. especially in colder weather you could easily enjoy staying inside, very safe outside also beautiful dinner..price was very good... The atmosphere in the hotel was wonderful. The owner very pleasant and helpful. The room had a nice view of the garden and it was very peaceful. The breakfast on the terrace was memorable. Will come again. Nice hotel. We had a room in the dependance on the ground floor. This meant the room was cool, and we had a nice little terrace in the garden of the hotel. Room was quite big, but very outdated. Hotel was OK - simple yet clean room (beware of extremely slippery bathroom), good location in quite town of Toscolano Maderno. Hotel pool is nice. Rooms have AC. Would stay again. Very helpful personnel - receptionist gave us the most accurate and interesting info about the area, clean rooms, convinient spot to explore the lake. The bathroom was to small and a bite old. Not enough parking space. Breakfast was a bit of a let down. Nothing fresh like fruits or juices. Nothing fresh for breakfast - no fresh fruit, vegetables, nothing. There is an old guy in a hotel (owner's father?) with obsession on baguettes - he keeps checking them every 20 seconds or so:) Hotel is not on the beach (as it might seems) but ~10 minutes away. We preferred pool anyway. Noisy bar close to the hotel. Breakfast was tasty but there was not many things to choose. However comparing to other Italian hotels it was still much better. small tv, parking was full, we had to park on street. It's too far to walk to the city centre, where parking is not easy and quite expensive. Limited parking. B/fast was quite basic. Nothing. Wi-fi only in public area and switches on and off alot. Bit old fashiioned, Pool was a little grubby. First of all we have got a room in the attic allthough the hotel was nearly empty. The air condition was defect. And when we asked for another room they told us that all the air conditions on the floor has been working on warm level. What a joke. The room was very tiny and warm so that we had to open the window all day and all night. The Hotel is not really recommendet.
