The hotel staff were simply magnificent and were always looking to help us with, for example, directions for days out of Florence, booking train tickets to Rome and restaurant reservations.   We arrived by car so we were looking for somthing close to the city, butnot in it. The hotel was very convenient to the highway, but stillquiet, and did not charge for parking.
