  A great location to explore Matera and its famous Sasso on foot. We were lucky to find free parking next to the B & B. The rooms are very recently renovated and stylish, with vaulted ceiling, rainshower with mood lighting and modern touches.   This was a great experience -- outstanding rooms, right in the Sassi, with wireless internet and a good restaurant too. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. I hope to stay here again. - Good experience to stay in Sassi. Scenery from the hotel terrace was outstandintg.

  we liked everything about Palazzo Degli Abati. The wonderful cave room was beautifully renovated and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast, the best we had on our travels around Southern Italy, was eaten on the terrace in the sun with a wonderful view over the Sassi.
