  First of all the excellent service. The owner Giuseppe is very friendly and helpful and although it is a little hotel, there is always someone at the reception where you can leave your keys, even at night.   This was the best hotel we've stayed in Italy! We've been to Roma, Firenze, Venezia on similar (cheap) hotels and this was by far the best. The outside look isn't great and can be a shock upon arrival, but most of the buildings in Palermo are like that, so don't be put off by your first impression. We stayed in a spacious room with TV, a mini-fridge, air-conditi - Recently refurbished with modern open public areas on ground floor with small bar area. Very comfortable reasonably sized room in which everything worked very well - efficient AC and excellent hot water pressure although the shower cubicle is one of those very compact jobs. The reception staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and informative and speak good English. The hotel is very centrally located and for the price it would be difficult to find a better hotel in Palermo.

  It is a very confortable and well situated. The staff was very kind. - The hotel is in the centre of Palermo opposite Teatro Massimo. Eeasy to reach from the Palermo's central statio (buses 101, 103 ), the bus stop is 100m from the hotel. The staff is friendly but could speak English better. Good breakfast, spacious, clean room.

  The staff is realy friendly. The location is good, quiet but walking distance from main touristic points. The parking is comfortable.   interior decoration, friendliness of staff - Fantastic hotel on the main road from the train station to the centre of the old part of town. Renaissance furniture everywhere and a huge bed in the room. Was very quiet, but we went off season so it could be louder in the summer.

  Hotel Italia took up the whole fourth floor in a classic old building typical of Palermo on one of its main streets, via Roma. It was in a beautiful apartment, high ceilings and dark wooden floors, and quaint furnishing. We had a shared bathroom which was down a long corridor but - Good value for money, perfect location in the central street and very close to the main train station. Room was small but cosy and clean, breakfast was served in the room that made it also quite comfortable. Very nice and welcoming staff; the man working at reception at night shift(unfortunately I don't know his name) was very helpful and friendly.

  Position, flexibility on breakfast hours - Very friendly management and staff. Excellent position on 10th floor making it comparatively quiet and with panoramic views over the city. Good bus links to the city centre.
