  We have travelled widely and found Petra Campana to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. We primarily came to Orvieto to look at Luca Signorelli's fresco cycle at the Duomo, and discovered not only this (which was amazing) but also the wonderful Petra Campana located in the mountains nearby. Fredericka (who previously studied and worked as a Fresco Restorer) a - Perfection! It's not often that the 'real thing' is better than the pictures or even your imagination, but Pietra Campana is. The view of Orvieto is postcard-perfect; it's jaw-dropping. That, coupled with the two most wonderful, caring and friendly hosts you could imagine, plus magnificent, huge, romantic apartment, and an enormous breakfast ... all within a super-easy drive to fantastic Orvieto and wonderful day trips to some of the best hill-top villages in Italy. What more could you ask for?

  Our stay at La Rocca was great. It was a perfect place to relax and take in the beautiful Tuscan scenery. Our guest house was spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the patio. The facilities on site were great - unfortunately for us, it was too cold to use the stunning pool that overlooks Orvieto. The restaurant on site was fantastic. The scenery was beautiful and it was just a short trip to - This hotel is quite large with beautiful buildings and grounds. Parking is ample, although it was a short walk uphill to our room from the car. The on-site restaurant is well-decorated with professional and friendly staff who speak excellent English. The dinner was decent, but the buffet- style breakfast was excellent.
