  The hotel is beautiful, certainly reminiscent of a Medici Palace. very spacious. We had a junior suite which had fantastic views of the Sassi, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.   Amazing cave room - absolutely HUGE! Believe this was the best room and it certainly had the wow factor and provided a unique experience.   Our host Sylvia was very welcoming and when we got lost driving into Matera she came to get us in her car. The room was large with tasteful furnishings, two big windows and an elegant bathroom.
