  The hotel is beautiful, certainly reminiscent of a Medici Palace. very spacious. We had a junior suite which had fantastic views of the Sassi, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The location, in Matera amongst the 'sassi', was spell binding and the luxurious accommodation blended with the location very well. I would describe the accommodation as rustic embellished with luxurious touches - from the designer bath to the amazing breakfast!
