The room was exceptional in this hotel. The Verona arena was just a 10 minute walk from the hotel and coming home from the opera after midnight was a very safe walk without any fears for safety. Location is right in the centre near Arena. The hotel is very cute in
an ancient building. Two stylish old ladies at the reception ( the
owners I guess ) were very friendly. They gave us a discount while we
were paying as we missed our breakfast. And we were asked to pay at
check out. The price via booking com was pretty low for a place like
that.

This hotel can compare very well with some 4-star ones I have been to and when I asked the Management why it was classed only as a 2-star I was told it was because they did not have space for a lounge! Bureaucracy!!!
