I had all sorts of problems that stressed me out the day I checked in. The cab driver couldn't find the hotel and dumped me out blocks away with heavy luggage because he could not find the street and When i finally arrived I realized I had managed to lose the key to my suitcase! The location is very central, 2 minutes to Lepanto metro station/bus tops, 10 - 30 minutes walking to most major sites of Rome (which is great considering the horrible public transportation network in Rome. I held a Roma pass but ended up walking all the time). The neighborhood is clean and safe, with lots of hotels and offices around so you would have no trouble walking late at night. I love the vintage design inside the hotel, and my room (the cheapest type) looks new and much more beautiful

We spent 4 nights in Rome and Hotel de Teatro became our home-away-from home. Great location near Piazza Navona and Campo di Fieri. Paulo at the front desk was very helpful and spoke impeccable English although I tried some Italien. The breakfast was delicious, our room comfortable and spacious and very clean.
