The hotel has a pleasantly old-fashioned feel to it but the service was spot on. The staff were courteous and helpful, even to the point of retrieving a lost cardigan from the Villa Carlotta and posting it on. We had a particularly friendly waiter who introduced us to his wife when we met in town on his day off!. Parking was great and safe within the hotels courtyard . Our room was huge with an enormous bathroom and a small shower in the corner? We found a small restuarant just up the road called La Perla that was perfect with fresh tasty food and super service. Hotel food was fine too and the waiter was a character.

We come here for almost 10 years on our way to Tuscany and the last two,three years we noticed there is improvement in the running of the hotel,. This hotel was everything I wanted in lake Como, great location for the lake and shopping. Staff were friendly spoke excellent english and breakfast was good continental. Good free wifi system. On site parking cheaper than public spaces so dont know why others object. Very friendly staff, atmosphere was great. Room was nice with big balcony, and all we did need was there. Parking in the courtyard under shadow was possible (good in the heat). Rooms are special, I had the feeling to be in a medieval castle. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Their service was excellent. The food served was excellent. The coffee was the best we had while we Traveled through Italy. The location is great for accessing attractions around the lake. The hotel is great and we liked the design. We enjoyed to be that close to the city center. Most of all, we enjoyed the waiter responsinle for breakfast. Supportive and with a great portion of humour, he made the stay remarkable. Friendly, English-speaking staff is great with American customers. Hotel is a very convenient location, very clean and comfortable, and a great value. Great location just 10min walk to the centre. Restaurant served a lovely dinner menu and the bar area was very relaxing. Really liked this hotel. The hotel is excellently situated for the old town and is finished attractively and to a high standard. The breakfast is generous and first-rate. Situation, space in the room, kindness of staff. The room was a bit dark. no help by unloading car. The swimming pool is nice, but the area around could be made more lovely with e.g. flowers, roman statues or similar, it would fit and improve the whole castle style of the place. The parking space was limited. Wi-fi signal could be stronger, and goes in and out. Nothing!. Parking should be free (included) or at least if must be announced that supplement is required but price is fair. Rooms facing the road a bit noisy (ask for room facing the courtyard). Room was on outside corner facing very busy (noisy) intersection and may trouble light sleepers; wi-fi signal was strong in lobby but not in our wing of hotel. Charge for parking place. nothing. Parking lot was full. Parking expensive and not included, WLAN in the room very slow. Rooms were old fashion. Air conditioning could have been a little more powerful. The pool is freezing cold and not very big. price-quality mediocre. The room was a little too small for three adults. Wifi connection was very very slow and kept dropping out. paying 15 euros per day to park. Room for staff to be more friendly. Poor wifi. Nothing!. Staff at desk and dining room not very friendly. Parking expensive. Very difficult to find by car with all the one way streets. Rather small room for 3 people and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Probably more a transit hotel, swimming pool on the parking. Completely unfriendly people at the desk. Only cold water (and it was really cold) in the room. When I complained the guy at the reception said "That's not possible" and that was it! I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
