Our host, Carmelo, was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us set up with a guided excursion to Mt. Etna. Our room was charming and stylish, and the windows were sound-proofed with additional French doors so that the room was completely quiet. The location just off the Piazza del Duomo is perfect for exploring Catania. The city is great for walking and boasts many beautiful neighborhoods with lots of great restaurants, shops, and bars. The nearby Pescheria outdoor market should not be mis.
