The welcome from Roberto and Manuela and their staff and children could not have been kinder or more generous. Incredible view from the terrace where we ate all our meals. A pleasant 15 minute walk to the funicular to como (but Roberto will drive u if u wish). A memorable visit. Other hotel stays pale in comparison. Like staying w a favorite aunt and uncle but still a hotel and not a b and b Great place to return to every day after day tripping in the spectacular como region via ferries. My las.
所有评语 » The hotel is at a beautiful location. In case of good weather you will have a superb view over Como and the lake. The host is very friendly and helpful. We could arrange our check-in for the next morning flight via Internet on their computer. Driving to the hotel (abt.20min from Como) was exciting and funny. You need to be prepared for narrow roads where only one car fits. The hotel is not easy to find but once you are there the view is great. The most magnificant view over the "Lago di Como". On top of the hill with a long terrace the hotel is on a perfect place to enjoy some excellent wine while watching the sunset. The hotel is run by a family. Guests are welcome in English, Italian and German. Already the way up the hill from Como is a little adventure. Some streets are just about 2 m wide. A wonderful place to stay where guests are treated like family. It is a very beautiful location. The best is sitting outside with a glass of wine and looking down on the lake and the surrounding. The food is very good und quite authentic. There is always a different choice on the menu depending on season and availability of fresh ingredients. It is a little bit of an adventure to drive to this place but with a good map, GPS and some eyes to find the signs it is no problem. The hotel has a great view on the lago di Como. The ambiance was familiar and the staff really friendly. The two beers came with a little snack of salami, cheese and olives which was really nice to have on the terrace. The dinner was excellent italian kitchen and we finished our bottle of red vine in front of the fire place. It was really relaxing and nice ambiance. the place as itself is great, respecting nature, the owner and his family are very (very!!) nice and eager to help, that was highly appreciated!! We got driven to the funiculario and got something to eat even if arriving late in the evening (after 9 pm). Thanks a lot!. 2nd trip to Falchetto, and still fabulous. Now run by Roberto and his family who are great. The place is hard to find, but that adds to its appeal, the views are incredible when you get there. Food is great, service terrific, I will be back again next year!. The hotel is in an amazing location overlooking lake Como and surrounded by beech and chestnut woods. It is run by a lovely family who pride themselves on their work. The meals are excellent and served on a terrace overlooking the lake. Every day fresh cooked typical Italian food. The whole family of the owner is giving the guests finest service. Natural and quiet place with a large area of trees around with direct view on the Alps and the lake of Como. Excellent service by owner/manager. He volunteered to drive me to/from cable (teleferic). Provided with useful info about Como, the lake and the boat trips. The hotel has beautiful view and it's a warm place. The owner was very chatty and welcoming.The location was good. The rooms were clean and well heated. Lunch was excellent. Nice views off the lake and mountains. We enjoyed a nice dinner from their restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpfull. They picked us up from the funivia because we came on foot. There was nothing to dislike. No time to stay longer. Not easy to find with gps system, as I read before booking. However, when you are "uptown" in the village, try to find the direction to the "centro sportivo", then the hotel is indicated, not that difficult!. nothing! even the walk up to the funicular railway, which is a bit tough, is no longer a problem because Roberto will give you a lift!. The hotel is a bit far away from the teleferic and, with no bus in the area, one has to walk about a mile if he is not renting a car. Not that it is a terribly long distance but it becomes a problem during entry and exit when carrying your luggage - even if it has wheels. Fortunately the owner/mgr was very helpful in driving me to/from cable station. Would this service be offered all the time?. The view of the lake was obscured by trees close to the building. Dinner was a huge let down after gthe lunch being so good. We all had the beef which was not very big, and mine had gristle. There was a tomato sauce that was too tomatoey and the only other thing on the plate was a massive dollop of polenta which was completely tasteless and even the tomato sauce couldn't improve. Tha tv in my room was very small and there were no English channels despite being satellite. Nothing - it was fantastic!. The place is difficult to find.. Very hard to find even with navsystem. Difficult location without own transport although hosts did pick up from funicular station when contacted - prior knowledge of this would decrease stress!. The creaking wooden floors. Overall good experience, small things could be bugging, like level of English, waiting time, etc. But people are flexible and friendly. Very hard to reach (specially if you dont know the way) - small, almost impassable streets. The way to come there. The room was inhospitable and a bit chilly.Someone may like a room made of wood but this was'n nice. The floor made an awfull noice whe walking on it and you could hear every word from the next room. Impossibile to reach without a car.
