We drove my little Fiat up and down the amazing Amalfi Coast and stayed 3days/2nights. We should have stayed longer. It was late January and there was still plenty to do and see. Winter is now my favourite season to discover Italy. Sure it might rain a little but usually crisp sunny days. Only real people about. No crowds. No cues in the museums, castles, fortresses. Very affordable prices for accomodation and restaurants everywhere you go serving the real, no frills, fantastic and fresh cuisin.
所有评语 » I stayed at this hotel with my family as we were attending a wedding. Upon arrival which was quite late, being 00:00, I was greeted and offered a drink while I was checked in. This was very pleasant after a long journey, and exceptional considering the time. My parents had already been checked in, I was shown to my room. The rooms were bright and spacious, and very clean, with a panoramic view of the sea, and mountain side. The power shower has various functions, and is certainly the highest pr. The staff were incredible, from giving us rides to Amalfi to making sure we ate and drank well. The food was incredible and reasonably priced. We ate homemade pasta with seafood and a veal cutlet and had plenty of the local wine. Nothing like sipping cappuccinos along the Mediterranean when you wake up in the morning. The place is close enough to Amalfi to walk and enjoy the views while far enough away to escape the crowding of the city. Perfect location, and a bus stop is just across the stree. Great value, exceptional meals, owner operated, relaxing vacation, had great parking for our rental car in busy, crowded amalfi coast. Unbelievable bargain for the area that included filling breakfast with extra's on request. We spoke no Italian but did ok with the family. Alessandro and another family friend were there occasionally to help out with translations. Close to amalfi town and only 10k to Positano . Other good town nearby was Minori and next was Maiori. With rental car, we visited be. The room was nice for the price, although it would have been more exciting to have a big opened view from our balcony, you can see a little bit the sea but not the whole panorama. I guess that you have to pay an extra price for a superior room. The owner was so nice, he drove us to the city center in order to catch the ferry and he bought us cookies and fresh orange us. We had a great experience at the restaurant, the food was great, especially the pasta with "frutti di mare" baked in the oven. We spent 8 days at Al Pesce D'Oro and were sorry to leave. The family running the establishment are friendly and more than accommodating and we could not have asked for more. The restaurant provides wonderful meals and the breakfasts are varied and plentiful. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic view from our private balcony. The purpose of our visit was to unwind from the pressures of work and we were able to achieve this in the quiet and romantic surroundings. Bus service almo. We had booked a standard room for a modest 50 euro a night but were upgraded to Superior on arrival at no extra cost...possibly because we were the only people crazy enough to be driving the Amalfi Coast in blinding rain. Room was big, recently renovated, clean with lovely view of the coast. Location is halfway between Positano and Amalfi, free parking..perfect for us. Helpful and friendly staff in an excellent downstairs restaurant, nice breakfast and they would have cooked for us if we had wa. It was as described and lived up to the great reviews. We had a beautiful view of the mediteranean sea from our balcony and it was clean and spacious. The family that runs it were so friendly and were out to please. And, seemed to enjoy us as we did them. They helped either with getting transportation or providing it themselves. We didn't speak much Italian and they didn't English but we seemed to get across what needed communicated. We would definetly make a visit again. Excellent restaurant with several rooms upper it. Very cordial staff (it seems to be a family business), perfect dishes (you don't need to eat somewhere else! OMG, no - you must eat there!), private parking, relaxing atmosphere - all you need after a long and windy road or for a weekend or more :) Fine location - halfway between Amalfi and Positano, so you can explore almost the whole Costiera Amalfitana locating in this place. We were not on a high season and enjoyed tranquility. Excellent hotel. We were very comfortable in our really luxury room for a reasonable price with balcony overlooking the coast and amazing sunrise. Breakfast was great and with the view to the sea. Owners gave us a ride from Amalfi when we arrived and always offered it, but the weather was nice and we enjoyed nice walks to Amalfi, around and back. The staff was excellent. Brush up on your Italian. Before we checked in they had us sit and have drinks to relax. The best seafood we had in Italy and we ate alot of seafood. They would give fruit or cake to try when we sat down. They drove us into town, got us coffee and looked up the water bus schedule. We plan to stay here again and again. We cannot say enough good things about this place. The accomodation was fantastic! This is a family run establishment, and customer service is their highest priority. The room was immaculate and the views of the Amalfi coast were breathtaking. The dinners at their restaurant were superb. I can't say enough about their personal attention, making our stay one that we will never forget. Grazie from Dave & Janice. B&B is located in a nice area with bus stop steps away. Large private restaurant, also with outdoor seating on ground level and rooms are on the floors above. Our room had a wonderful balcony with a view of the sea. The bedroom and bathroom sizes offer plenty of room for comfort. This B&B is very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The location, staff, and service were wonderful. We stayed there only for one night and regretted not staying longer. The views from balconies are breathtaking and there is a great restaurant downstairs run by the same family, with the same amazing views. Al Pesce D'Oro was one of the best places we stayed in Italy. The location is convenient. There are buses stopping very close if you don't want to drive and ready to wait for the public bus. Also, there is a nice beach 200m away. The staff was helpful and helped us with transportation on arrival and departure. The room was clean and big enough and had a nice view. We were greeted with a warm welcome, staff assisted with luggage, room has amazing views over the Amalfi from balcony. Bus available outside door if needed to travel up or down the coast road. Restaurant on site with great Italian homestyle menu with very friendly staff. Carpark handy. After a terrifying drive along the scenic amalfi coast, it was such a relief to arrive at this pleasant B and B. The host immediately offered us drinks to calm our nerves. The food at the attached restaurant was good. The views from our room was fantastic. Beautiful location, overlooking the sea and 2 kms from Amalfi town, with own balcony and sun recliners. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant, which seemed very popular and food was good. We felt cared for throughout our short stay. Family run and very friendly. Our room was upgraded for free. Nice room with balcony looking out over the coast. Restaurant at the hotel serves delicious food and is reasonably priced. Breakfast is great. Would stay there again. Pasquale - owner/host... drove us into town on two mornings.....driving in Amalfi is not for the squeamish. His staff is outstanding and the food is incredible. We will return soon....perhaps to the villa. The owner was very nice; he let us leave our rental car overnight when we went to Capri, and he gave us a ride to the port and bought us coffee. Great view from the room. Very pleasant place. The views were wonderful and the parking easy. The owner was happy to run us into Amalfi so that we could use the excellent bus service. Close to Amalfi, but away from the noise. Easy access as they will shuttle you in and local bus lets you off in front. There was no coffee and tea facilities in the room, however perhaps being in Italy, they prefer people to drink proper coffee and not instant? Buses were not so frequent, and could be full Nothing else. It was perfect Would certainly return. There was nothing we didn't love about this place. Bring Dramamine if the dramatic curvy roads are too much for you. They are endless and not for the nervous types. Also, we are from Boulder, Colorado and not use to so much cigarette smoke. But this is Europe after all. the hotel it`s a little bit far from the city center but you can reach it really easy by bus. We had to leave and return to work. The weather, avoid March in this area if you can. About a 30 min walk to Amalfi center. We were never able to get an Internet connection. There was not any English speaking staff around most of the time we needed help. The furniture (including the bed) was a bit worn. The breakfast was very simple. But I guess that's what you get in Amalfi for this price. Loved everything. Three days was not long enough!. The hotel advertised wifi but I was unable to get reception on my tablet. About a 35-40min walk to Amalfi so if you don't have a car then you pretty much have to have dinner at the hotel and there are no close amenities. Staff had very limited English, you must have a car/scooter if you want to get to Amalfi or nearby restaurants. There is a sign in the room that says no food allowed, but it doesn't give the reason: tiny ants will find there way into the room. It was a little way out of Amalfi itself, but the owner was happy to run us into town. - The hotel is located about 3km from the town of Amalfi, and the roads aren't very walkable due to sharp turns, no sidewalks, and a decent amount of traffic. We ended up not being able to walk into town, but thankfully the hotel drove us. Driving the coastal road. No issues. Was about 3 kilometers from town but they were very willing to take us there when we wanted. Rooms were a bit outdated Shower water pressure wasn't great. Bathroom has very poor design with bidet at entrance at first step into bathroom. Bed very hard. Small rooms. A bit too far to walk to Amalfi from here - in the middle of nowhere really. The Steps~. 1. Too far to amalf, 3 hours on foot, very isolate on the cliff 2. no other restaurant for choice except themselves. we get there on 18:00, only one waiter was there, this guy gave us some cold food and charged us 40 euro, I really doubt that he put the money in his own pocket. 3. no people speaks english, impossible to communicate. 4. no wifi in the room. too bad, this hotel really ruined our journey in amalf.
