  Hotel villa la Nina was perfect. The friendly familie runs the hotel with the restaurant. The restaurant was very good, typical Italian kitchen. I had my best Italian steak ever. The location of the hotel is on a mountain, near the little place Montecarlo. It is just 15 minutes from Lucca, 45 minutes to the beach and firenze. We had a wonderful time in the hotel and we - The spacious room and bathroom with a magnificent view! And ofcourse the wonderful food in the restaurant. The waiters are happy to explain the menu in good English. The location is also good, about 10 km from Lucca, very near Montecarlo (a very small city). To Florence we went by train from Altopascio. Free parking, 13 eur pp by train, approx 1,5 hrs and you re in the centre of the city. Pisa is an about 45 minutes drive, as well as the beach.
