The Owner/Manager was very helpful and friendly. We stayed here while attending a wedding at the Bloomfield house hotel. Taxi just 10 Euro and 5 minutes drive. Nice to be in the town for a walk about the morning after. Will stay here again. Great price and very tasty breckfast. The owners, the staff, the help with anything asked, The bar, the large comfortable accomodation. Above all ,the breakfasts were the best we have had in any hotel (and we are vegetarian). All freshly cooked to order. Would like to stay there again.
所有评语 » The room was very spacious, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff are very nice. Getting a key to let ourselves in the main door is a great idea! I will stay there again anytime im out in mullingar! :). The staff were really nice and the room was spacious and bright with a nice view over the town. The hotel is right the the heart of the town so very handy. Breakfast was included and was great. Friendly, roomy, comfortable, hotel in a historically interesting area . A convenient stopping off point out of Dublin on our way to the West coast. Location very central to all amenities. Staff welcoming and friendly. Very substantial breakfast with prompt service. Comfortable room. Good value. We liked the location, hotel was clean and the staff all were very good the breakfast was excellent the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and the rooms were very clean and comfortable but it is a pity that you can only get local tv stations. Situated in a great location for access to the town, and paid parking is available behind the hotel. The hotel has a nice feel about it as it is seems to be run by the owners, who are very welcoming. Reception Staff were very friendly and accommodating, Food was excellent, with friendly waiting staff, great choice of food, Hotel in center of town, ample parking. Handy Location, Cheap, V.helpful guy on Reception. The outside appearance is not in keeping with the other really good features of the hotel. Much like most city hotels parking was an issue. There is a car park right next to the hotel but it is paid parking and needs to be updated every two hours. It is free between 5.30pm and 9am so I had to get up at 9 to put a ticket on the car and I had been at a wedding the previous night. Couldn't get the TV to work. Room cold on arrival until system kicked in. on street parking at 1 euro per hour from 8 30 am to 5 30 pm. There was a stag party staying in the hotel and the noise at 3.40 am was horrendous and then they talk non stop and very loudly during breakfast despite the staff askin them to modulate their voices. There was absolutely nothing I wasn't happy about. Nothing. Restaurant for breakfast was a bit gloomy (no windows, dim lighting). Irritating muzak and pointlessly running tv screen, but that's the norm in Ireland. There was no plug for the sink in the bathroom and the plug hole was very deep. Made sure not to remove any jewellry near it as would surely have been lost. Air Conditioning had room too warm on arrival, and Control Pad wasn't easily accessable due to its position beside Wardrobe. During the night every half hour we were waken up by the noise of the pumps on the attic, which was very annoying, both myself and my partner did not get a good sleep, other than that we would really would bof enjoyed our stay. Nothing really unless the heating was maybe a little hard to control. Nothing to disllike. A little noisy on Sat.night. no hair dryer and the bar was ok but very dark. Nothing. Nothing. No evening food available. De room and bathroom are very dated. But they were clean. Front door locked at Night / we had a treble room and only 1 key .. I went back earlier than my friends and couldnt get into Hotel so had to sit outside until they came back .. Bit silly on a Saturday night not to have a night porter. refridgeration motor noises from adjoining supermarket. The bedrooms are a bit dated and amenities are basic. Hairdryer, Iron etc available from reception if you ask. maybe offer free parking. Alarm went off twice in 1 night 3.30am and 4.20 pm - no explanation given. TV malfunction - staff did nothing to repair. Breakfast did not start until 8 am which for business people is pointless. Food was supposed to be served until 9 on but I got there @ 8.30 and they had stopped. TV in room was working but had an awful buzzing. Few minor alterations would improve hotel a lot. blocked sink in room, no parking, breakfast times 8-10 should be extended until 11 at weekend. The room wasn't warm enough.The heating was broken & we only had an electric gas oil heater. Design and Architecture, - very hot in Atrium No sign of advertised Tapas Bar. i liked the bar but lacked choice of draught beer. very overpriced .. no hot water with a note in the information book which said , if no hot water run the taps in the bath , we had no bath in our room ???. V.cold room, room unclean (toenail clipping in wardrobe), hot water not available immediately, no atmosphere, management were v.RUDE, wont be recommending. Very poor room quality, en-suite a kip, filthy carpets, generally poor. More like a one star hotel.
