We were pleasantly surprised by this one. I expected a backpacker hostel-type experience, but our room was on par with the nicer B&Bs and hotels we've stayed at. The staff were friendly at check-in and helped us arrange a cab to the ferry port the next day. There are stops for the Dublin Bus nearby to return to the city center, although there are also some shops and restaurants in the neighborhood (and their own pub downstairs) if you'd rather stay close for dinner. 所有评语 » Gorgeous location on the harbor.... Outside seating is plentiful. Full bar in the restaurant. Be sure to try their fish and chips and also their wings! We were staying at there hotel and thought food might not be good. We were pleasantly WRONG. All but the last of 3 days the food was excellent (we had breakfast, lunches and dinners on various days). The service tends to be excellent and VERY FRIENDLY. We saw signs for weekend brunch, but left Dublin area on Friday. It is only 15 minutes from d. After a disastrous start to our Ireland trip with our other accommodation we managed to book a room here online. From the moment we got there the staff were friendly and welcoming, rooms were spacious and tidy and had everything we needed and overall was a massive relief from where we started. Really good value for money and was close enough to the centre to use buses when needed. Planning on returning to Dublin soon and will definitely be staying here again. We chose this place because it was by the sea, yet close to the city by public transport. We loved the pub and the food there is great. The staff were friendly and helpful you just had to ask. I would recommend the Bram Stoker as it did offer peace and quiet after a day in the city. The walks along the sea are just beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and small shops. There is even a small fringe theatre, The Sheds very close by. The rooms were good and the shower was fabulous. The location was excellent and the bus service into Dublin city was brilliant being so regular and close to the Bram Stoker. The evening meals were adequate although portion size wasn't what we expected for the price and this didn't represent value for money, had we stayed longer we wouldn't have taken meals at the Bram Stoker. It is very picturesque place with lovely pub downstairs. Staff very friendly and nice - as all Irish people. And at the same time we felt very free. Bus station to city center just near by, what is excellent.We were satisfied because it was in accordance with our expectations for budget-friendly hotel. Good weather helped as well I guess :). The staff were very helpful. The double rooms were well kept and presented. The positioning of the hotel meant that one had the opportunity to go for a walk by the sea in the morning. Access to Dublin City Center was easily accessible with a Dublin bus stop nearby which has a bus going directly to the city center. We liked so many things: 1. The lobby is a bar and it is well designed and has a cozy environment. 2. Most of the people in the bar are either neighbors or relatives and very friendly. 3. Live music, comedy shows and movies on weekends. 4. Kids activities on weekends. 5. Free coffee in the morning. Great pub with bay windows looking out over Dublin bay. Warm, friendly atmosphere inside. It is not downtown and that could be either a plus or a minus depending on your mindset, but there is a bus across the street that runs every 20 mins. Approx. And the bus will leave you in the center of town. Fascinating little museum in the hotel w research on Bram Stoker and the Irish context for his invention of Drakula. The hotel has modern rooms extending behind a charming traditional pub. The food was very good, tasty salads and fish and chips, even the bangers had unusual leeks in them. Yummy. Could not fault anything.The staff were brilliant, rooms good size and clean, I had problems with walking, they sent meal and ice for leg up to room on first night, nothing too much trouble. Prices for food and drinks in bar good. Will definitely stay here when visiting Dublin again. Ideal spot, for 2.40euro the 130 bus stop is at the door every 15mins. Meals very reasonable, chef is brilliant, but shops less than half a k along street if needed. Miles of green walking along estuary watching tide come and go. Thank you Bram Stoker we loved every moment. 1) Bar was great and staff was very friendly...Great pub food too! 2) The restaurant "Pepper" upstairs was a bit pricey was the food was delicious with a wonderful presentation. 3) Very cool Dracula theme 4) Centrally located between Dublin city center, port and airport. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The evening meal was extremely good and well priced. It is only minutes from the ferry in theory, but we might have been told about the awful traffic there is at rush hour and it would be easy to underestimate the time needed. Friendly/ helpful staff. Convenient having the bar and restaurant downstairs and it had a lovely atmosphere. Close to the ferry and great for visiting Houst which was mentioned in the book in the room & turned out to be a treasure. Loved the Dracula memorabilia. We stayed to visit Dublin and for The Who concert for 4 nights; I really liked the pub downstairs - the food, drinks and atmosphere, the good rate we had, view of the sea and lawn, the exterior design, very expressive. Quiet and good area, great!. Lovely, friendly place! The Vampire store and articles were fun. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Great location to get into Dublin. Very pleased there was an elevator for heavy luggage!. The staff was fabulous! Friendly, helpful, took great care of us! They were very accommodating of our early morning arrival, gave us great directions and service! Highly recommend a visit! The Pub is a fun place to hang out too!. Great staff, excellent breakfast and very good cook (try the main dishes!). Clean and mostly quiet place. It is 15 minutes by bus 130 fom downtown and the bus goes each 10 minutes. The interior decor and the bran stoker experience was unique excellent location for early morning ferry departures and u miss M50 toll and a great walk onto bull island which is next to the bram. The staff were most attentive and helped me out a great deal. The rooms were great as was the food. The trip into Dublin by bus is so easy a great location with lovely walks along the water. Friendly staff, Great food and Brilliant atmosphere. Bram Stoker Museum is also located in the hotel itself. It also felt like a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the City. One of the cheapest we could find yet no drawbacks, unlike many other comparably priced places we checked on. Coming and going at any time of day or night was easy. Staff were excellent. Owner is a real character. Hotel is part of a really nice Pub, excellent location a short bus ride to Dublin centre (Bus stop right outside). It was a warm feeling hotel, Showers are great, To go to the reception you have to go thru the bar but thats nice it makes you to feel the atmosphere,. Some of the noise from the car parking lot, directly below our room. Pu and restaurant look worn down and dated. We found out the last morning they have a different chef also...he does not know how to cook eggs with out breaking yolks ( although he tried 6 times.. We gave up) nor how to make breakfast potatoes ( even French fries).. Aw well 5 excellent out of 6 meals is very good. In the bigger room(102) the main bed was broken but due to it having 2 single beds wasnt an issue for us. That they could have been more environmentally friendly with their towels, ie given us the option as to whether we have clean ones every day. We could not open the window very widely as it got hotter and hotter. Something they will have to think about as our climate changes. There was no view from the room, you did have to step outside for that. We were on the early morning ferry to Holyhead and were not able to take advantage of the breakfast, however due to this we were given a full refund for the breakfast element without any quibble. ~WIFI not accesible from the room which for business users wasn't ideal, we don't want to have to go to a public area to engage in business dealings. As I have already said: We were satisfied because it was in accordance with our expectations for budget-friendly hotel. Good weather helped as well I guess :). No room service and restaurant closes at 9:30 pm. No minibar in rooms. You could hear the water heater pipes at intervals at night. It disturbed my sleep on one occasion. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the Bram Stoker. Not a thing. Not a thing. 1) Our room reeked of cigarette smoke. Due to full bookings we could not get a room swap. Was given carpet powder to cover the smell. 2) Understaffed during breakfast hours...one guy running around trying to place orders, manage bar and check-in people. No plug in the basin. 130 bus - the downtown link does not respect the schedule, so it happened to wait for it for more than half of hour. Wifi in all rooms would have been preferable, but we felt comfortable using it in the pub. If staying not in the summer, turn the heating in your room on by yourself when you check in; repeat very day after the maid cleans the room. Nothing. Some who lived next door to the hotel whose dog kept barking was the only thing we had a problem with. My only quibble was that we couldn't get the free Wi-fi from our room and had to go down to the bar area to access it. Breakfast was ok but could have been better You pay more for extras which are included elsewhere Rooms a bit small. Nothing,. Breakfast. none. Rooms were small. Facility needs routine maintenance. Onsite parking a nightmare. Wi-fi only available in the lobby/bar. No hair dryers available in the room. (deposit required to borrow one). TVs are old. The room window was to the south and the room got heated up all day by the sun. There was some noice from neighbouring houses that have their gardens right under our bedroom window. The hot water only comes on at certain times of the day, if like us you have to leave early in the morning, you can forget having a shower. Nothing. Food expensive in Bar/Restaurant. No information in room about facilities etc. A rough bed and yes the walls are a bit thin. But a good place to stay. room stuffy mainly due to very warm weather. The breakfast staff were very slow with the service and you continually had to ask for everything ...... Which wasn't a problem once you'd asked. A bit far from downtown. Expensive public transport would make this a less that ideal location for somebody without a car. Nothing. The first day the lift was out of order.
