The very warm welcome of the hosts and the willingness to help and co- operation showen by the proprietors when we had to change plans. The lovely "piping hot" breakfast and warm rooms. Very much appreciated during unseasonably cold weather. Also the fluent Irish of the hosts when people were willing to speak Gaeilge. I dont mind the hotel replying to my review but I dont want to be identified other than as - Kate Meath - in any review placed on website etc.
所有评语 » First thing you notice when you walk into this small, historic cozy place is the caretaker and his wife. His sense of humor is just unbelievable/super friendly and hilarious! Room was clean,bathroom as well... Ps. This is to the caretaker ! ;) Although he cannot leave his place,he sure does give good tips about places to eat/drink!. All thats best about B&B's in Ireland; real sense of hospitality, fun and real engagement, Maurice & Therese take a bow. The location couldn't have been better, 2 min walk from the Tourist Office/ Seaside and 5 min walk into main street. If you're looking for a genuine Irish B&B - stop looking. a really lovely place with nice views over the harbour. Managers really friendly, chatty and great fun, made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for you. Room was a good size with good light from all the windows. Nice town with some original craft shops to get something a little different. Enjoyed being in the heart of the town, the view of the harbor and fishing boats which reminded us somewhat of the U.S. New England area. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the area and provided an outstanding recommendation for our stay in Doolian. Great value for the money. Sure, it's not the Hilton, but is very good for the money. Our room in the front was quite large with a view of the harbor. The staff were outstanding in their friendliness and caring about their guests. The staff were very friendly, offered us tea on arrival and advised us about the best local restaurants and entertainment. The breakfast was excellent. This B&B is very centrally located with ease of parking. Central location, affordable, & with a charming history. On balance, the rooms are a little on the smaller side but what are you looking for?. parking was a challenge at times during the day - would be nice if the businesses could have some that were bookable but did always get parked near the b&b in the end. The water in the shower was cold. Everything was fine!. Absolutely nothing we didnt like! Cant wait to go back!. Shower didn't drain well while we were there. Room may be classed as a little small as there were 3 of us, however this was booked just as somewhere to sleep, so did the job well. Was a little on the expensive side. Room was small. More expensive than most places we'd been staying at in Ireland up to that point - but I think most B&Bs right in Dingle are priced a bit higher. Nothing. The room was a little warm with no air con so made it stuffy at night. Nothing to add here. Can't think of anything we didn't like. Nothing. Thin walls... but it IS a 150-year old building. Nothing. Rooms a bit small, could do with a make over. A mirror on wall in bedroom . Could do with a shelf and towel rail in the bathroom. Very small room but adequate for our stay and staff went to great lengths to ensure we were aware of this prior to our stay. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. could have done with a view out of the room, but this is a small point. Size of room was very compact, ok for 1 or 2 nights stay but not longer. Parking was bit of a problem during busy friday and saturday afternoons. Slight hiccup when checking in. Room was narrow and cramped, but that was expected from reading other reviews. Rooms, etc. are showing a bit of wear. That booking through letsbookhotel.com is more expensive than booking direct. nothing. everything was great. Noise from dining room. Room layout small and hard to get in and out of bathroom. No plug in bathroom for drying hair and no vanity mirror in room. No sense of community never really had contact with others staying there. I think it was a bit pricy concidered that breakfast is extra. mix up at check-in. Tv cramped rooms. Bit small. No hot water on the day. N/A.
