I booked a room in Villa Shanti for my recent trip to Pondy with my husband. I booked it after I saw all the amazing reviews that I read but we were disappointed once we got there. Well, to be fair, the place is not bad at all. Rooms are clean, the décor is decent and the service is good but I didn’t think it was worth the 5600 Rs we spent for one night. It was just very… plain. Maybe I paid the price for the location? Because it was nice to stay in the French quarter with nice little antique s.
所有评语 » I travelled with my elderly parents and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. The hotels ambiance was lovely and it was immaculately clean. Our room, which was a suite was huge and comfortable in all ways, the bathroom was also huge and had the best fittings and amenities. The food is very special and the staff our all very polite and helpful. I want to say a special thanks for bringing me medicine on my last morning there and not even accepting any payment for the same. Thanks for a very special . Love de location. If youre like us, who love to experiment with food then u wuld love staying here. The locations full of eat outs. Rendevous and duplex are a couple of good eat outs close by you. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. elegant, modern design... lacks old world, antique charm of many other luxury B and Bs in Pondicherry, but has a lovely, beautiful aesthetic... many fine details and no complaints. It was extremely clean, everything worked in the room just as it should. The staff were helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent. -Great property and ambiance. Nothing!. - Slightly far off from the beach (not a sea facing hotel) and the main market. - Rooms were very nicely decorated but there was no window. Waited for over a half an hour just to get a cup of coffee in the lounge. Their credit card payment was down - the wired and the wireless card scanner. The way front desk handled the situation and delayed our exit left a lot to be desired. If you position yourself as a premium option in that area, you need to have a plan B. Complementry breakfast should be UNLIMITED and BUFFET. Checking out to go home. Staff were efficient but not very friendly. Nothing. Rather simple breakfast which no choice given. And no flexibility of late check out. No Cleaning Service on time, no replenishment of toiletries the next day, which left us surprised.. I booked a junior suite but it was smaller than I imagined. The sofas and two chairs were not comfortable. The cushions are very thin. You might want to replace them. Twice my F&B bill was not right. If I had not checked I would have paid more than I consumed. The breakfast is a bit limited in quantity. I can have a bigger buffet for the same hotel price elsewhere in Pondicherry and I don't have to limit myself to either Indian or Continental. worst customer service ever.
