  Ound this review helpful Eldsto is a perfect home base for touring the south. It is centrally located, so many day trips are possible. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The accommodations are comfortable, tastefully decorated, and clean. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, electric kettle with coffee/tea and Thor's hand-thrown pottery ... 别人怎么说 » bowls and cups. The couch is large and comfortable and there is a flat scree - We liked the warm welcome and the delicious dinner: very well prepared 'Ling' (fish) and a surprisingly tasty honey and ginger icecream dessert. We appreciated the friendly service in helping us out with the bustimes and the interesting stories when showing us the photos of Eyjafjallajökul by Ragnar Sigurdsson. We surely recommend staying at Eldstó Guesthouse and if there is no need to stay at least try the tasteful food and bakery or visit the Gallery with ceramics.

  This was the best place we stayed. It's absolutely amazing - the guesthouse is immaculate, only a year old. The beds are so comfortable, the room is simple and homey. The couple who own the guesthouse are the most friendly people we met in Iceland, the gentleman who owns the place is so kind and genuine.   My dad and I visited Iceland in October of 2006. We'd originally intended to just drive through the country and find accommodations when we felt like we needed them. It quicky became apparent that wasn't going to work. We needed a "home bas" and Dad was adamant that he didn't want to stay in Reykiavik so we journeyed out a bit. When we arrive - The location was a 5 minute walk to the restaurants, and away from any noise. The price was very reasonable for the 3-bed self-contained apartment. Breakfast cost extra, but was generous and had a good variety. Wi-fi was included and worked very well. The apartment was comfortable and spacious - good size bathroom, lounge, dining, kitchenett and bedroom. The lady was very lovely and helpful. There was on-site parking. I highly recommend this for a relaxing stay.
