We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!

Everything. The owner is the real deal, does not just go thru the motions but really cares that you are happy and taken care of. Takes the time to go the extra 100 miles, for advice to plan your day or your trip, to make custom eggs for breakfast, to make sure you have everything you need in your room. Aparment on Raday street is right in the centre, perfectly walkable to all sights and atractions. It has own fully equipped kitchen with couple of glasses. mugs. plates, pots, pans, cutlerry, microwave, kettle etc. Next room has two tables, tv, sofa. cheap accomodation, near the highway and near to Budapest, relatively clean. Lady at the desk speaks a little German so basic communication was possible, which can be sometimes quite hard in Hungary.

That was excellent place to stay - and dog friendy. Staff and owner was extremaly helpfull, food was fresh and delicious. Very clean and nice place in friendly enviroment on the isle of Szentendre.
