  Teh pool and the rooms are beutiful. The view of Caldera is amazing, the best view on the whole island, better then in Fira (Imerviglion is at highest point on this side of the island).   Astarte suites has only nine rooms which gives you a feeling that youare at home. The personal touch of of the people running the hotel isperfect. As the hotel is somewhat to the south of the caldera you havethe excellent view but are not part of the tourist scene which dominatesthe northern cities. Jacuzzi in the room was very good and romantic if you stay with your partner. It was far from Fira or Oia but those positives offset that point.

  When we landed in Tino's from the ferry we were surprised to find that the original resort we had booked had sent an email that evening saying they were sorry but they were overbooked. At 11 PM at night we were forced to find other accommodations for 5 of us , 2 adults and 3 grown children. We found the Tinos Resort online and what a blessing it... 别人怎么说 » turned out to be. They say things happen for a reason and I know that is what happened here... the owners were amazing and the units ( our 2 bedroom - We loved the owners, Anthony and Georgia. They were so helpful and just couldn't do enough for us. The room was excellent, room 6, but only had a sea view through a window, not from a balcony. There were however 2 balconies on the landward side of the hotel. Anthony's tips on where to go in terms of beaches and villages was excellent. Breakfast was amazing, all prepared by Georgia. There were omlettes, fruit and yoghurt, bruschettas, ham on bread, and tea or coffee.
