  Perfect location, it takes you about 10 minutes to walk to Fira and even less to Oia. We stayed there with my boyfriend for a couple of days and literally walked through the entire island. The hotel is nice and cozy,and has only 4 rooms. Staff was very fri - Very good location, 10 min walk from buzzing Fira but much more quiet. Excellent view of the caldera from the shared balcony. Kosmas, the owner, is kind and very helpful. Very good value for money, considering how much others charge for the view, if you are willing to share it. Tip: If you are budget conscious get a room without a view. The ones with the view just have a window anyway and the balcony is what makes it worth it.

Last but not least Ploes hotel is a value for money destination for tho - The staff were exemplary and outstandingly hospitable. They helped with anything and everything and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is fabulous, only 6 rooms but real elegance permeates the whole building which has been lovingly restored.   The views are superb and the welcome is exceptional. For us it is simply the best. I could go on praising the beach, the local tavernas, the towns and the island in general but better to let people find out for themselves.
