The rooms all have private balconies, but there are also communal spaces which make it easy to meet other travellers. The garden setting is gorgeous and really peaceful. Many people hit up Ios to party, but we had a very relaxing time staying at Villa Mata. The little outdoor kitchen is handy for cooking up some food. Also the staff were really helpful when we were planning our onward leg.

  We liked a lot that the hotel was family-owned first of all and also it is in a perfect location for whatever you want.Furthermore cleanliness is on other advantage of the hotel.I recommend it to everyone who wants to stay in an ideal location in Ios - Friendly staff, clean room, very good in general.

  Modest but very cozy rooms next to a quiet, nice beach. Location perfect (10-15 minute walk up to the city, bars and nightlife).   Very happy with this. I was travelling on my own but was make to feel at home by the owner. Location is amazing, literally across the road from the centre. The hotel had a young, vibrant feel and all the people were alot of fun.   everything, was great and very friendly. Will be there again! - Very friendly and helpful owners. The pool facilities were fantastic, great location and ideal for families with older teenage children. We all really enjoyed ourselves.
