  Location of the hotel is one of the best in Santorini. I am not sure about the altitude, but Imerovigli village is one of the highest points of the island which allows a magnificent view of Oia and Thirasia. I stayed there with my girlfriend whom I proposed during our stay. The ambient is just made for it.   We enjoyed everything about our stay at Merovigliosso. They were kind enough to pick us up from our previous accommodation in Fira and even gave us an early check in. Roula was fantastic and provided us with details about the area and recommendations for restaurants. She even gave us gifts including a complimentary bottle of wine.
