  The location is a little bit remote without a car, but this provides more privacy. I think it's a very nice location compare to the rather busier and noisier Oia or Fira. The view is superb and you can see both sunrise and sunset on both sides of the hotel. The service of the staffs are second to none.   The hotel is very very beautiful with the best location you can have in Santorini. We rented a Junior suit, with private jaccuzzi and it was just wonderful. Amazing sunset from your terrace, very nice bedroom. The owner is a ver nice person. I am not sure about the altitude, but Imerovigli village is one of the highest points of the island which allows a magnificent view of Oia and Thirasia. I stayed there with my girlfriend whom I proposed during our stay. The ambient is just made for it.   Everything. I had booked into Regina Mare, however it was winding up for end of season so they put me in Avaton Resort, their sister hotel in Imerovigli. The staff were the loveliest people you will encounter in a hotel anywhere! And I've stayed in a lot of hotels.
