  Mr. Sigalas is a wonderful host! He picked us up at the port and drove us to the villa. He had us laughing and feeling like we were part of the family. His two daughters run the reception and they will arrange anything you need. They were able to set up rental cars, restaurant reservations, boat trips, whatever. They had only been open for 2 years when we stayed there, and Mr S - I liked everything. I have been to Santorini before and the overall standard of accommodation is high at every price level. It is highly competitive too. What makes the Sigal stick out is the unassuming nature of your hosts, all members of the same lovely family who are always cheerful and overtly helpful without straying into the poncey attendant type operation that Santorini seems to have sprouted in abundance.   Good choice for inexpensive accomodation in Santorini. It's a traditional Cycladean island Hotel, run by an nice and helpful family, who welcomed me openly to Santorini. The rooms are simple and clean, with everything necessary. Free internet. Seaviews on both side. There is a motorbike and atv hire: "Diamantis Team", and this is the best way to go around the island. Or to take a local bus.   The hotel was at a perfect location, just a 3 minute walk to the bus stop which had buses passing every 20 minutes. Pool was immaculate sbd location very good - a short walk from fabulous caldera views and 10 mins walk from one of the best small villages on the island. To see further or get to breaches the car was great, most places within 15 minutes drive (oia 30 minutes)

A shuttle is available but get a car and explore Santorini for all it has to offer. Petite palace is a perfect distance from Fira and the car rental comes to you. As the hotel is somewhat to the south of the caldera you havethe excellent view but are not part of the tourist scene which dominatesthe northern cities.   I have been dreaming of going to Santorini for 37 years.Since seeing the movie Summer Lovers when I was 13. It has been a long wait to say the least. We loved driving there and discovering all parts of the island but the tranquility of N - staff friendly, excellent location for tranquillity, near the black sand Beach, in front of a beautifull small port and next to an excellent fish restaurant. Good breakfast. During low season and for 45€, it was fantastic.
