  This was a very nice "home base" for exploring the Bavarian countryside. We stayed here for 3 nights as a "vacation from our vacation", and it was wonderful to get away from all of the umbrella-toting tour group guides.

  I enjoyed everything about the hotel from the friendliness of the owner/staff to the attention to detail on making their guest comfortable. The only comment I would make is that the wireless internet was not accessible from the rear building where my room was located.   We chose this place for our hiking tours in the area around Kelheim/Althmueltal. We used a rental car to get back and forth between Kelheim (or other walking areas) and the guesthouse.
