The location was excellent - in the same square as Bach's St Thomas Church and the Bach museum. There are many good eating places very nearby. We were there to attend a Bach concert and enjoyed the Bach music wallpaper in the room therefore. The room was small but so elegantly designed that it was very comfortable and very attractive, and we wished we were staying longer. 所有评语 » The hotel was in exactly the right spot for us - opposite the Thomaskirche, next door to the Bach Museum, the Gewandhaus 5 minutes away. St Nicholas Church down the road. We went to Leipzig to listen to Bach as part of a trip to hear music by Wagner in Bayreuth, Mozart in Salzburg, Haydn in Eisensdat et etc. This hotel is superb. The location is excellent and in an historic building but with every modern convenience. Rooms were spacious and in a superior, we had a kitchenette. Air con was very effective but easy to alter to suit. Soundproofing was superb Staff were helpful with guidance to desired destinations etc. The quality of the service was excellent The location could not have been better for a visit to Leipzig Very quiet and peaceful location the restaurant was excellent as was the wine list and so too was the service The view over the courtyard and Bach garden. Minor quibbles really but pillows were too soft and alternatives not available (we asked). A guest laptop is listed as available to use but apparently it was broken. The pillows - ask for help the staff will provide. I only wish that the front desk would have been open later (or maybe earlier) so that I could have checked out in the middle of the night to catch my flight rather than staying at the airport for a few hours. Only one tiny thing, a simple cafetiere in the room would be much preferable to the coffee machine in the room, which never made a decent cup of coffee!. You have a choice of hotel room or self catering apartment, and we chose the latter. The kitchenette was tiny and with few things to prepare and eat meals - but adequate. Room slightly small for 2 people. The pillows were too soft. No mini bar in room. The food in the attached restaurant was excellent but a bit expensive. Like most of Germany it's too hot! Even with the controls off I still ended up sleeping on top of the duvet!. Rooms are large but could get a bit more decoration, an additional mirror etc. Breakfast. The room was a little too small. Images on website better than the reality. A basic hotel not a design hotel how they market themselves.
