This is a lovely hotel with a lovely friendly and warm atmosphere. The staff work hard to make sure everything is how you like it and they are happy to give you advice and tips on the area. It's situated in a little town just outside GP but the road access is excellent and its very central to the main sights. Great cakes and lovely breakfast. My ten year old loved the cows in the morning. Best hotel of our trip. Host was warm/gracious. Food was excellent with extras like coffee cake for breakfast and cake and tea in the afternoon. We had a large room on the 3rd floor: beautiful wood work; nice details; balcony overlooking the mountains. The best thing of all was the herd of cows being driven to the barn to be milked and then back to pasture, right under our window.
所有评语 » The rooms had just been remodeled with the bathroom being quite modern. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast selections and were surprised by the pastry (homemade by the owner) tea time every afternoon. Wonderful! we also liked the location, near to town but not on the RR tracks. We can still hear the cow bells as they passed by each AM and PM to the pasture close by. Absolutely everything - the price, the staff, the rooms, quiet location,and the breakfast. CLose to numerous hiking trails Farchant park. Weloved that the hotel was on a peaceful street, away from the hussel ofGarmesch. It won't be too long before this newly remodeled place isbooked year round!. The Hotel Foehrenhof is a authentic Bavarian Inn of perfect charm. I chose and like the Foehrenhof because it is just outside the tourist bustle of Garmisch (about a 10 min drive which I did every day in 10 mins) and has the wonderful experience of a the local German staff and appeal. On our arrival the host did not speak english, he was very apologetic, no problem, there was someone the next morning that spoke english. Staff, very friendly. We were invited for coffee and an assortment of delicious cakes on the house in the afternoon. Great quiet hotel to say at.We are a family of four and our room was perfect. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were warm and friendly. We really enjoyed the free coffee and cake service between 3pm - 5pm each day. We look forward to staying here again! FYI for Americans - they take the VAT. Friendly staff, nearby restaurants were excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good. Delicious cakes and coffee were served to guests each day between 3 and 5 pm. We had a 2-room suite which was very spacious and comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood.This was an outstanding value...and the owner was extremely helpful andcourteous. Plus, you could not beat the quiet atmosphere or the cozyaccomodations. I'll definitely stay here again! And, I will highlyrecommend to any friends viasiting the area. The hotel is beautiful in breathting surroundings. The owner and his workers are the friendliest people who go overboard to make one feel welcome. They even offer free coffe and delicious cakes each afternoon.I liked the breakfast buffet, especially the various items that were prepared. It was fresh and with good quality. I also like the free wifi internet conncection which worked wel whenever I used it. Everybody were so nice and the hotel was so inviting with a great room and nice location, plus the breakfast was so good, we wished we had some more... I will be there again, of that i'm sure!. Beautiful interior, nothing like the drap insides of chain hotels. Very quite location. Easy free parking. This is just what you look for in a hotel. Very good value. The Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good with everything from Smoked Salmon to a freshly made Strawberry Yogurt. They also take VAT forms.The hotel is clean and staffs at the hotel are very nice. The environment of the hotel is really good feel like you stay home !!. The owner and staff were outstanding...plus the hotel location, room cleanliness, room spaciousness, etc were a great value.The hotel staff was very accomodating and helpful. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our hosts couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are all different styles, and ours was like a Bavarian lodge with sectioned panels and traditional furniture. The rooms were large and warm, and there is free wi-fi (though I had to go into the lobby for reception -- could be my laptop. The rooms were very small but clean and well appointed. On the upside, we had the use of a wonderful common living room and the breakfast room. The hotel provided a wonderful breakfast and then coffee and cake in the afternoon.Pleasant room, nice breakfast, LAN access; small-town atmosphere close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Easy parking. Aside from breakfast, the hotel rate includes a tee time light meal from 15:00 to 17:00 which is very nice and unusual. We were already in bed so it wasn't much of a problem.We highly recommend it and would definitely go back again!. You need a car or other transportation to get to Garmish Parten.We bookeed a family room which is for 4 persons actually it's good accept it has 1 bathroom in a master bedroom that sometime you have to walk throug a person who sleep in that room. The location on the map was hard to find. You need to take a bus or taxi the first time, from then on, you are fine to walk or continue to take the bus.My only comment, is that I had put on the booking.com reservation that I was travelling with a child and needed a roll away or a bed big enough for two people. The hotel did not know that I was travelling with a child, but they did fix the issue immediately and had a chair that turned into a single bed. I think the room size would start to be a problem after four or five days.I didn't like that there was not a phone in the rooms and elevators for luggage. We had to pay to call locally and carried a lot of heavy luggage to the 3rd floor. Tea/coffee available in room would have been a worthwhile improvement. The lack of hair dryer. My room had no drawers. No place to keep small lady jewellery, small personal belongings, small electric and electronic devices such as mobile mains charger, photo cameras, MP3. Everything must be laid over tables and shelves. A bar would be welcome.Hotel was great but town was small with few restaurants, shops, services, etc. Internet. I wish there was a restaurant. They didn't change the bedding during all the stay.
