Having read the review from "Anonymous" of New Zealand (too late, the day before our stay) it was with some trepidation that I saw on our arrival that the reception attendant was taking us _down_stairs to the dreaded Basement Room of Doom. The reception attendant seemed to have a certain amount of trepidation too - maybe the hotel has also been reading the reviews. I was relieved to find that actually I rather liked the room, and we had a great time there. Having said that, the major gripes tha.
