  Great price and free parking, within a stone's throw of Tegel airport. This turned out to be a fantastic place to spend my last night in Europe, as it was also very close to a U-bahn station with speedy access to Friedrichstraße. The in-room minibar was well-stocked and actually affordable. - Staff were superb, room was large and well furnished, as well as very clean. For my purposes, the location (just a block from an U-bahn station & an under 12-Euro taxi ride from Tegel) was perfect. Others may wish to be closer in, but with the fabulous reach and convenience of the Berlin transit system, Hotel de France is situated just fine. The on-site restaurant / bar is a nice bonus.

  We are really enjoyed this apartment during our three days stay in Berlin. Location was excellent for us (5 min. Walk from S-Bahn station). We were able to reach the city center in ca. 30 min. From the apartment. Staff was extremely friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. I asked to enable a Wi-Fi internet beforehand (we payed separately - Everything written by previous visitors about this apartment is true. Clean, comfortable, roomy, in a quiet and safe place, 5-7 minutes walking time from an S-Bahn station, very welcoming persons meeting you on the day of arrival. Choosing this place to stay in Berlin was really lucky for us. A little hint for those who will use the famous "tricky shower": turn the water flow to maximum, and the temperature will not be so volatile (lesser water flow can result in the heater switching off).
