  It's a cheap hostel that has great location- very close to the S-bahn (S5, S7, S75), U-bahn (U1), some trams and there's 24h supermarket (Kaisers) in front of the hostel. Rooms are clean, pretty big and heaters fortunately works. It's a tenement house but it's really nice. You share the bathroom with only 2 rooms.   We had a problem with our room (it was smelling smoke) and people from reception had a quick and nice reaction, they changed our room, thing that we appreciate a lot. Breakfast is quite good with a german touch (muesli, german delicatessen and german cheeses, german bread). This is a really confortable hotel (beds and comforters...). The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.

  We loved everything about the Alitania apartments, the apt was just like home, bright, extremely clean beautifully furnished. The location is superb.
