An old French house, furnished with interesting old furniture, Entrance hall with spiral staircase going up to glass dome. The proprietor gave us a wonderful welcome when we arrived after 9 pm after a tiring train journey with delays. She gave us a tray with tea and juice and little cakes. The breakfast was served in an attractive room overlooking the river, Different pretty china each day and plenty of home-made jam. There was a refrigerator in our room and even a microwave and so we wer.
所有评语 » If you want a period property in the traditional style - this is a perfect choice. The room was large and airy with the added benefit of a fridge. The bed was extremely comfortable - a must after a long drive. The breakfast was delicious and served on the terrace. A lovely stop over on the way South. Decor was lovely. Breakfast was very good. The house sits right across the street from the walkway along the river and the old town sites are easily walkable. The owner was a delightful lady and did everything she possibly could to make sure we had any and everything we needed during our stay. All of it. This is a truely special place to have a luxury stay that is an experience. The house has a calm that bends to your needs, just like the generous and accommodating owner. Beautiful. The décor was tres chic. The breakfast was superb and was served in a lovely garden setting. Free parking but it's just around the corner, not the one opposite where you have to pay. Real French chic boutique bed and breakfast, great hospitality and lovely homemade produce all fresh at breakfast, definitely recommend. A real taste of France!. Really welcoming relaxing clean bright and very homely great location bars resturants and sights near by right on the river. Charming rooms and decor. Helpful and caring owner.Excellnt location and easy parking. The decor, spaciousness, location, WiFi, breakfast, shower and the adjoining rooms. Friendly landlady. Amazing quaint old house, friendly owners. Location is great. The convenience of the hotel to the centre of Saintes. Friendly staff. There is no doubt that some of the wooden shutters need replacing, but one can overlook this because the interior is so charming. Liked everything about our stay. As a matter of fact, we liked the hotel so much, we stayed 2 nights instead of just one. That we couldn't stay longer! There is nothing to fault, gorgeous. squeaky floorboards. That the owner didn't tell us about the free carpark, we had to find out for ourselves. The car has to be parked across the road its free only certain hours of the day but you only have to pay for a couple of hours in total which is cheap just get to know the parking times. Absolutely nothing. Lack of living room. Finding it by car. Ensuite more of a cupboard with curtain, but usable. Too many stairs to the third floor, very dark room. The whole property needs some decor maintenance. Expensive for what it is, breakfast okay, normal French. Rooms not tended to each day, your bed remains unchanged and made even though you are out all day, the first time we knew about the owner said she just did not have time and it was very hot okay, what can you say but okay, but the second time you think I am paying 100 Euros a night the bed could be made and towels changed etc. Difficult to find, still not yet finalized.
